Hello All! I have been looking at a 328GTS that is for sale in Montreal, Quebec Canada that is listed on autotrader and was wondering if any F-Chatters know/owned this car? The vin# is ZFFXA20A2K0082916. Terry, I stopped by that place to look at one of the two but I don't know which one it was. I was not impressed at all. Also when someone say possibly one of the lowest kilometers in North America with this mileage that tells me a lot. Have a look at the car before you do anything.
Yes when the car was initially listed they though it had only 17,000 km's on it. They since corrected the mileage but not the description in the advert. I have contacted Ferrari of Quebec to see how much a PPI with a leakdown/compression test would be so I am waiting for them to get back to me. The salesman at Highland was quite open about the car and felt it would need a "major" service to get it going (Belts, tensioners, pullies, etc.....) as well as a good tune up as it has sat there for at least a year. It was the little golden puddle located under the centre of the car that had me worried...........we will see! Thanks Terry Jones Ottawa

Will be in Montreal on Saturday so will see if it is still at Highland Auto on Jean-Talon Also heard back from Ferrari Of Quebec and they will do a PPI and compression/leak down test on the car if required. Thank you guys In deed it's still for sale by Clearview. I was wondering if somebody can Tell me if it's not a too risky buy. I intentd to go forward with it. They Provide me with a list of repairs for about 7k including major service. I've few bubles on the RH rocker panel . TCJ1965 talk about a golden puddle in the center of the car. I'd say possibly the shift shaft seal leaking. I've you try negotiating a bit? If the PPI doesn't show anything too bad I think it would be a good buy if you compare to what is for sale in the states with US exchange. A local buy with no import hassle is Worth something. Very nice exemples are now near $100k asking price.

Shift shaft seal should of been taken care of with the major service.....if anything the asking price seems a bit low.

That's an excellent price for a Mondial T. Are you sure there are that few of them in the U.S. (or North America in general)?
I posted the ad in the Mondial section and someone came out with a production figure with this number.
Hello Lads! When I saw this car at Highland Auto there was a golden puddle located under the car right in the middle passenger area so that was a bit concerning. Also the Carfax I have show mileage inconsistency as well. I think the photos shows 11,385 miles on the odometer which is alot lower than the 25,760 reported by Lake Forest ferrari on 09/06/2005 so that would need to be looked at. But if you are willing to spend an addition $10-15,000 you may end up with a really nice and late serial 328GTS If you email me a fax number I can send you the carfax or you can buy it online with the VIN#ZFFXA20A2K0082916 The car also needs a full detailing and interior work but it is still a nice looking and ageless car! I noted this car on a Canadian advert last March (= 2014) with 55.000 kms. Build in August 1989, it is one of the very late 328s, in the last hundred group, before the production stopped for ever with 83136. Rgds
