Mission accomplished! It was always my dream to own the Le Mans 1972 Dino 246 GT #02678… thank you Court for selling the car to me after 40 years of ownership. My plan is to start the restoration mid next year and to bring back the car to its 1972 Le Mans specification. Any help appreciated… Regards Matthias Delivery this week... pictures taken at Bremerhaven port Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Fabulous purchase Matthias. You now own the 3 most historically significant Dino 246GT race cars on the planet. To think it all started with a treasure found on eBay. Many congratulations and well wishes from Canada.
What an amazing Dino, one we all have had a model of I am sure! I can’t imagine a better steward for such a car. Unlike some of the others”Racing Dino’s” that required lots of research to find out what had been removed, this one is going to be so cool to see more detailed pics of what it is. Congrats Matthias!!!!
I mean, that's just phenomenal. I've just read the whole thread from the beginning and what a wonderful journey. Congratulations!
Hi Matthias, congrats!!! absolut amazing car. 2678 couldn't find a better home and caretaker. best wishes, Björn

Very nice. I remember when the surgeon from Missouri brought it up to Road America a few times for the historical races.
Here is my model of the car in 1/24th scale. I did this myself, not a diecast. Missing drivers lights wich I added later.
yes, Court partizipated in some races / events from 1982 until 1996 I received his vehicle log book and some new pictures yesterday... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
As I said, it will take at least a year from now when I will be able to start the restoration... but documentation and research will start right now.... First surprise: I found original red carpet in the glove box (didn`t pick this up when I inspected the car in November 2019) This spot often hides the original carpet, because the dashboard needs to be removed to remove the carpet.... Court mentioned he put new black carpet in many year ago, which I could see wasn`t of original making... Image Unavailable, Please Login
first question: this stamp looks to me like something official, maybe received after technical inspection or just confirming participation any idea...? looks like white sprayed with template... JUN 1972 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Congratulations on this new acquisition, Matthias. And the garage is just beautiful. Here is a commissioner putting the stamp on this Rover BRM at Le Mans in 1965. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Matthias, Congratulations on the acquisition of 02678, and the reunion of the three historical racing Dinos! Fred
