Does anyone have any experience either good or bad with Excell Auto of Boca Raton? A friend of mine is considering purchasing a Rolls Royce there and he asked me to do some checking on them. They seem to carry some high line cars. Any comments would be appreciated. Click below to view their website. Many thanks, Ron http://www.excellauto.com/home.html
My dad almost bought a DB9 from them...we test drove it but went in a different direction (Maserati QP)...Very nice people there though.
I wasted a lot of their time prior to buying my F430 from Shelton. They were all very nice and I would have bought a car from them if I didn't find this one at Shelton. But, I really don't know anything about their history.
Talk to Jack Jr, or Scott, very good guys. You can mention my name or Supercar Weekend if you would like. I have never purchased a car from them, but have had friends buy/sell/trade with their company and understand that their customer service is great. Best, John
Used to have my warehouse across the street from their showroom. +1 to Johnnie's post -- Jack Jr or Scott will take good care of you. Scottie
Hello everyone. First, Thank you Ron for making this thread. Everyone else, I am the friend he speaks of in this post. I am currently speaking with Avel via tele about this deal. So far the response has been great and I have no complaints. I just want to make sure that I am making the right decision with Excell knowing that if there is any need to contact the dealer, I will be well taken care of. Thank you for the responses so far, and I look forward to hearing what anyone else would like to say.
stand up guys... beat scott at a golf game and youll get another $10k off.. i wouldnt hesitate buying from excel.
Interesting, you posted this thread ---> http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=200070 but are standing up for Excell.
I do not know first hand the business end of their dealings. However, due to the fact that Im just finishing wrapping up one of the toughtest weeks Ive ever been through, they definitely showed their true colors. A deal was worked out with Scott and Avel last week. Due to a loss in the family, I was unable to see this transaction threw to completion. I lost communication with Scott and Avel Saturday, and did not get in touch with them until the day the transaction was supposed to occur. I was nearly 1200 miles away and had more important situations on my plate. Scott took all precautions he could in anticipation to my arrival so the deal would go flawlessly. I called to relay the information of my brothers passing and both Scott, and Avel, were nothing more then gentlemen about the situation. Both, were more concerned about my families well being, rather than the transaction. I could not be more appreciative of their understanding and sincerity. Even though this tragedy will likely hold off any new purchases, if and when the situation arises, I would not hesitate to call them. Scott, and Avel - If you read this, thank you for being the gentlemen that you two are. Nothing but positives about this location.
thats because excel was not the dealer selling the car you linked to... please have your facts straight before assuming things.
I made no assumption, you were pretty clear in trashing South Florida dealers in general. Here is the title of the thread you started: SOUTH FLORIDA.. home of some shady ferrari dealers.. SHADY!!!!!!!!!! Excell is in South Florida, right? At least you should go back to that thread and state not all dealers in South FL are shady. Only fair, IMO.
Hey Bill, Thank you, he will surely be missed. The info provided on Excell was very substantiated. Absolute pleasure dealing with them.
congrats! they're good guys a friend bought a 360 spider and my old lady friend bought a BMW back in the day from 'em
STAY AWAY! Jack Jr. has left to Ft. Lauderdale Ferrari, Jack and Scott were freind's of mine or so I thought. The truth is Jack is a stand up guy and Scott is an absolute compulsive liar who convinces himself that he tells the truth. I bought a 2006 Hummer H1 Alpha from an individual in California, Jack being my friend and neighbor arranged for shipping of the vehicle. Scott was supposed to arrange financing, a straight loan, but convinced me to use elegante leasing because it was 6.5% tax deductable and no penalties for early termination. ALL LIES! with the exception of tax deductable. The day I signed the lease I ran the payment numbers and the true interest rate was 9.75% so I told him to terminate the deal and I would pay cash, which after 2 weeks of him stalling and making up stories is what I did. This transaction cost me $5,500.00 for 2 weeks of his B.S. deal of which $1400 went directly in Scott's pocket. Don't trust him.
hard to imagine.... Scott has taken care of MANY satisfied customers, and its highly unlikely that any professional in the car business would risk a solid reputation over $1,400. is there the possibility of gross misunderstanding?
No mis-understanding! Desperate people do desperate things in desperate times. As he was about to go under (out of business) this occurred. I even offered to help him get a new floor plan since he lost it. Don't believe me? Where did the ford dealership the zankels owned go? No solid rep there!!!!!!
Be careful guys, make sure you get a ppi inspection, my partner and I just purchased 2 cars from Scott last month. 2006 f430 4 quarts low on motor oil and no fluid in the f1pump, no manual and no second set of keys. Was told car has been serviced ready to go with 65 percent left on the clutch. 2007 gallardo, Wrong manual with car and check engine light on. I have them both at Midwestern Auto Group being repaired 95 percent on the clutch for the ferrari and exhaust ports plugged on the gallardo. There is so much more that needs told, But i think you all get the point! What a shame, I really like Scott but he really misrepresented his company!
Hi does anyone have a recommendation on a great mechanic for Ferrari 360 near Boca or Palm Beach? I think I will also call the guys from Excell since everyone here has such good things to say about them. Your advice is greatly appreciated! I am new to the area! Xena
I also was wondering who knows a really great Ferrari body shop.. I have some chips and things I need taken care of.... Thanks!
