    Hey guys,

    Thinking about getting rid of my BMW E93 M3 convertible for an '08-'10 Cayenne GTS for a number of reasons;

    1. The M3 is stick and my wife can't drive automatic, let alone stick. She's a city kid and needs to learn how to drive. She's not going to learn on a 6-speed unfortunately.
    2. The M3 is *awesome*, but it's a bit rough in NYC.
    3. I've recently picked up an exotic car and don't need two convertibles. Having an SUV is more practical.

    With that said, I love open-air driving. I'm looking at '08-'10 GTS's - and see that some had an optional panoramic roof. Does it give you a bit of a convertible feel? Is it merely a gimmick? If you were in my shoes, would you hold out for the perfect spec car w/ the panoramic roof?

    Also, what options are a must-have for the Cayenne / GTS?

    Any advice is much appreciated.

    Thank you, and Happy Holidays!

    Kenny

    I've got the 2013 Diesel with the pan roof, it is absolutely amazing and I would without hesitation recommend it.
    I have the parking distance control and i feel that the camera is not necessary.
    I was told to avoid the keyless entry option as it has multiple issues especially downtown.

    Just saw this. I had an '06 with a the panorama roof. It worked, but clearly had been a huge PITA for the prior owner. It had obviously been serviced several times, to the point where the interior cover of the pillar needed to be replaced, just wouldn't clip back in place anymore. I'm on my third Cayenne and will not buy another with the panorama again because of this, took it as a warning.

    I've had a new 2012 cayenne as a loaner w the panoramic roof. Hated it. Lots of wind buffeting and noise. The noise is due to a large wind deflector that is mesh material. So you hear the wind whooshing thru it and it also acted as a giant bug catcher.
    Parking sensors and backup cam are a must!
    Trailer hitch would be nice too.
    Since these cars are expensive to fix, highly rec getting one w cpo warranty.
