    Needed help getting information on a car that I will buy this week that has been imported from Switzerland . Where can I find out if it has been in an accident ? Is there a license Bureau or Govt Office with this info ?

    I have both the VIN and Plate Number

    Unfortunately, there's nothing like carfax in Switzerland, whether public or private. The only way to tell whether a car has been in an accident - unless the seller tells you - is to detect telling signs of work on the car. Uneven paint thickness with a measuring gauge, mounts, that sort of stuff.

    If it is a Ferrari, the chassis number can be traced through the dealership network and a lot can be found out in that manner
