I know it is well out of my price range, so I’ve never contacted the org, but from what I’ve read, north of 100k with transportation, lodging, performances, parties, etc. I read in a 2014ish Rolling Stone article, it is 60,000 pounds just to register and that doesn’t include a spot on Gumball Air. I’ve never researched it beyond the pop culture references, etc.
I’d imagine it is a pretty amazing series of drives. Enjoy!

ok wow. that solves it. out of my price range. I was thinking $20k or something. i wasn't interested in parties/performances and all the other stuff. just the epic road trip.

Not sure where you're located but there are many rallies now which are more affordable and still an unbelievably good time. My wife and I have participated in one every summer for the past three years and this summer we are already signed up for the fourth. It is called Ace Spade Rally and registration opened a few weeks ago and may have already sold out or is very close. Due to hotels, it is limited to 70 cars this year. Last year's main attraction was Tail of the Dragon (318 curves in 11 miles). Feel free to ask me any questions.

I’ve done the Cannonball, Bullrun, and the Gumball, and I have to say, if you get the opportunity, do it. It’s hilarious, character building, dangerous even.... take money for tickets, bribes, fake licence plates, and plenty of go go juice....... The cops will hate you, but the public on the whole love to see the cars and drivers out there.

Drive very very fast, but do it with forethought, a plan, and deliberation..... don’t drive like a ****, and you won’t go far wrong. Make sure your car, or whatever car you plan to use, is in tip top condition. I was lucky enough to have cars provided as I was employed to to the majority of the driving by various people so they could enjoy the parties, so my own cars didn’t get any use on it, and I’m pretty sure the corrective maintenance for some cars would have been high (clutches and f1 pumps on the f1 drivetrain cars, plenty of tyres, and front valance paint being the most common)

We had a great time, and I wouldn’t hesitate to do some again if my health picks up again..... you meet some amazing people on these, and not all are the typical crazy celebs or wealthy people, some are just like me..... lucky enough to enjoy fast cars and stupid enough to be happy to take traffic tickets!

Neither did I, do it for charity as someone’s main driver! You don’t even have to trash your own car! The only thing it cost me was snacks, drinks, women and speeding tickets!

I’m not sure mate. I am known by quite a lot of people both through ferrari and through clients etc, and I have a reputation as a good driver with plenty of experience of exotics. I kinda fell into each opportunity.

Maybe contact a charity you would like to support, get some names of supporting people who are able to sponsor your miles or something, plus a few companies locally maybe who will sponsor you either monetarily or with tyres etc, then contact the organisers and explain you want to enter for charity and raise money along the way.... maybe they will offer a reduced cost for the charity or something and along with the companies that agree to advertise on the car or your website etc, that would cover it.

Assuming you get in, then you make arrangements with the charity for logos etc on the car and design a wrap which has your own sponsors and the charity profiled. Call ahead on the route to the hotels etc and try to organise maybe charity dinners or drinks etc.

    Also check out Adventure Drives.

I did this last year and it was amazing. Much more focused on the drive and nice activities along the way. Not the type of rally where you party til 5am to then drive an hour later. If you have any questions I'm happy to answer!
