Anybody knows what happened to Sonny Crockett's Testarossa from Miami Vice ?

    Heard the car was originally black then resprayed in white.
    Anybody knows the history of the car like chassis number and who owns it and where is it located now ?

    Yes, the car was black and resprayed white as the black didn't cut it for the night scenes. I believe it was a Euro car. As far as what has happened to the car since the Vice days, I think this has posted in past so try a search. DJ at Barrett-Jackson comes to mind. Pretty sure I saw a detailed post or thread at one point.

    There was also a fake on a pantera chassis, if I recall correctly. Kenny?

    They removed the pannels and sold it on E-bay as a low mile classic corvette.

    One of the two cars is currently owned by Preston Henn and shown in his "Swap Shop" in Ft Lauderdale, Florida.

    Thanks to all for your replies and feedbacks for this thread.....I knew the producers of MV used both actual and kits cars...but I really wonder what happened to the actual cars now ?
    Let's hope they stay prestine like when they were first shown to the world in MV !

    The white TR crossed the block at BJ during the 2003 sale. It was pretty ratty looking. If you want you can look it up, but I'm thinking that it sold in the 60s, but I'm not sure.

    Looking at the website of BJ, I found a white Testarossa, but this one was clearly not the Miami Vice car. I also found a silvergrey car, with the text:

    "DON JOHNSON'S PRIDE AND JOY. THE "MIAMI VICE" TESSTAROSSA WAS CUSTOM BUILT BY FERRARI. ONLY 10,170 ORIGINAL MILES."

    So, might have been Don's personal car, but not the one shown in the TV series.

    But if I missed something, I would love to know ...

    One of the cars is on display at the Swap Shop in Ft Lauderdale as mentioned earlier, I have seen it there.

    The car at BJ last year was Don Johnson's personal 1989 SILVER TR(in nice condition). It was not the white Miami Vice car.
