    See Below:
I got a little picky and wanted a white RTV like the factory uses for sealing up the gasket-less Ferrari gearbox junctions. It claims to be good for "motor oil and transmission fluid". But you know how these cars are built - Meaning there's a noteable cost in consumable gaskets and crazy time involved to get back in there if it's not so great. I figure to a large degree, sealants are very user dependent. Apply carefully, make certain all is clean etc.

    Thanks FC folks.

Flexseal RTV Silicone Adhesive/Sealants are ideal for making formed-in-place gaskets, sealing, bonding, caulking, weatherproofing and insulating. Common applications include automotive, building and industrial maintenance and fleet services.
Flexseal products eliminate the need for gasket inventory and custom cutting of gaskets. Their one-part, non-slumping paste formulations cure at room temperature to a tough, rubbery solid which adheres to metal, glass, non-oily wood, ceramics, natural and synthetic fibers and many plastic surfaces.
    • Offers very good resistance to motor oil, anti-freeze, transmission fluid and most solvents. (For solvents, chemical compatibility should be tested for each application considered.)
    • Excellent weather and UV resistance – remains flexible and will not crack or harden
    • Tack-free cure time: 15 to 20 minutes
    • 8 oz. Lechner can size; 8 oz. net wt.
    • Typical tensile strength: 350 PSI
A pressurized-can alternative to standard silicone dispensers that dispenses a smooth, even bead, eliminating waste and mess. The pressurized delivery system and steady flow enable you to create intricate gasket patterns with ease.
    • Delivers up to four times the length of a gasket in a 1/8" bead than a squeeze tube

I've used this for the motor to gearbox gasket and it's white. 360CH. It came recommended by a friend with tons of experience. Works great. Three Bond Silicone Liquid Gasket. Amazon has it.

I don't think (Hope not) it's the same stuff. Lawson products are big industrial suppliers for ground equipment, maintenance. If it is the same stuff, might be a great endorsement.

Thanks. Pick a color! It goes a long way and I still have a new tube of 1211. Maybe go to 1215 and skip the 1211.

Me too. I got hold of a tube of 1211 through Amazon 'cause I couldn't find the 1215 easily. Also, I figure the 1211 should do a good job. Most of these sealants do reasonably well if applied carefully. Assuming they are for the right application.

I agree with this, it sets up in a timely fashion that allows you to get the umpteen thousand nuts torqued before it kicks off. Parts store stuff sets up too fast IMHO. This is the same stuff used by the factory on Ferrari cars too.

I have read on here that Loctite 518 is the way to go as any excess will drain out with the oil.
