I've been through those and it's either price or condition which doesn't work. Happy to have more choices for consideration.

Just wait a while more mate .

With the 488 , many more 430's would be on the market .

Most of the earlier 430s have bottomed but dealers are calling premium over export prices. A few cars have also renewed COE so left those 07+ cars but late cars have high omv which will make sense for export.

My wife and I will be in Singapore for the F1 race in September for about 10 days. I have been to Singapore, on business a few times, but not in the past 20 years. Dang that makes me feel old. Any suggestions on must-do's for Ferrari owners (car related places or activities during the GP), or other should-not-miss places? We probably will not be driving, my recollection is that the roads are quite crowded and access controlled by passes attached to the windshield. Still the case?

Can not wait to visit Singapore again. One last thing - are there any events for Ferrari owners during the race weekend? Thanks,

    Pat

    Hi Pat,
I don't have any Ferrari left now so don't know much about their events but it's an active club here. You may want to drop by the city showroom along Leng Kee road where you'll find several other brands.

The island has changed so much in 20yrs, skyline is different & many developments from the moment you land in the airport which is very welcoming. You can visit Mount Faber to grab some views of the skyline, have a meal or drink at the bar/restuarant then take the cable car to Sentosa for a day. Shopping, beaches & the new Art museum has replaced the old City Hall which is the venue of the F1 track.

Taxi, bus & underground are very convenient.

Thanks for your response, Jon! We can't wait to visit Singapore. When I was there on business I went to all the standard tourist places - Orchard Rd, the Boat Quay, etc. I remember there was a good rotating restaurant at the top of a building overlooking the shipyards - do you know if it is still there?

Of course 20 years ago there was not much of a skyline.

Is there a night-time open air market that you can recommend?

I will definitely visit the showroom and Mount Faber, and I'll look into Sentosa. Not familiar with it. Thanks again!

The rotating restaurant will be the Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant which is very near to Sentosa . It is still operating and will be a pretty nice place for Dim Sum lunch .

Hi Pat, on top of that Prima. If you'd want to go higher, there's Raffles Westin Hotel which has a restaurant & bar on the 72 storey overlooking the F1 track (no shorts & slippers). Otherwise, the more hip place will be the swimming pool/roof deck of the Sands Casino (I've not even been there!) & Altitude from the financial district:
    1-Altitude

Can't remember if there's any open-air market left on this island but you could visit Arab street on the weekend as Haji lane (a small street behind) is closed from traffic for street walking & there's trendy boutiques and cafes operating out of century old shop-houses. Walk over to Bussorah street facing the Sultan Mosque for other stalls & a small toy museum.

Visit the hawker centers for local food fixation. If you miss our chicken rice, I would recommend this stall for it's ambience & authentic Hainanese flavour:

Remember to order the toufu+salted vege soup too!

    Thanks Jon!

When I was last there we found wonderful huge open air markets, fabulous fresh food and atmosphere in the evenings when the air temps were more moderate. Guess the island is too crowded now for these markets.

The Westin 72nd floor restaurant sounds great. We are staying at the Conrad for the first few nights, then immediately after the race we are moving to the Marina Bay Sands (as you mention). I can't wait to see it and visit the rooftop infinity pool.

Will definitely try the tofu/salted verge soup! And, we will visit the Hawker Centers for the authentic Hainanese.

Thanks again - we really appreciate the suggestions.

Pat, you should walk around old Chinatown and Little India.
Lots of nice restaurants that are worth to explore.

The weather in SGP sucks at the moment as its too warm.

Nonetheless enjoy your time and the chicken rice at Mandarin Hotel should be good. Never been there for years and I think they should still Have it if you don't want to eat at the hawker Centers .

    greetings everyone,
i have been trolling the site and reading up on the pros cons of the 348. And am now earnestly looking to purchase one in Singapore.
Appreciate any advice on where to go for a pre-purchase inspection and anyone selling theirs.
thank you and am looking forward to ownership.

Staying four days in Singapore in the middle of July. Will mostly do tourist-stuff since I'm there with my gf, but I'm also planning on checking out the F1 pit building/track..

I know there are a lot of nice cars in Singapore, so I wonder what areas to visit if I just want to see some nice cars? :)

Orchard Rd is a great spot to see nice cars. Mostly Lambos, fewer Ferrari's.

I just relocated temporary to Singapore. I won't bring my car here, but would like to hear if there is a Ferrari club, or Italian car club and if they is any outings organized regularly. Any feedback is appreciated.
