I have my set that have been repaired from cracked mounts if you're at all interested in something that's not perfect but cheap. I also have the Scud Ing Swiss LED upgrade kit.
I received the set today. In the case they look grey but in real they are perfect black Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I just flew to my florida home, walked in the house and twenty minutes later these had arrived. Talk about timing. They are going in tonight. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It may be best to ask the manufacturer. Do you have marker lights on the side of the car like a US car? If not, then a Euro harness will probably be closest to what you need. Image Unavailable, Please Login It's good to see that Morimoto have started to provide Euro harnesses. A gentleman on the F355 forum was looking for advice on how to rewire the USA Morimoto lights he accidentally bought for his Euro car a few months ago.
I have a UK car, or a Euro?. Those side markers on the US car is the first thing I would have a body shop delete out, awful things. Is it something you have to have for a yearly test which we call a an MOT? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well, it looks like a UK car (RHD and no US markers). There are other differences between standard UK/Euro cars and US cars, e.g. the location of foglights (front or rear) and the location/number of brake light elements. The US side markers are just easier to spot in photos when the lights are off. I don't know for sure if the Euro car is identical to the UK car (with respect to lights). I recall someone telling me that the Euro and UK F355s were different from each other. Does your car currently have front and/or rear foglights? Experts: Do the Morimoto Euro/UK rear lights incorporate rear fogs?
Just need 1 taillight, not a whole set. New ones are $250/ea so just trying to find something for less than that. Everyone selling them on the forums is selling as a set and asking more than a brand new set.
These are so awesome. Couldn't be happier with this purchase Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Awesome indeed. I have the smoke version on my black car. So sad they don`t work with the european adapter harness. Allready contacted morimoto service and hope to get response soon. Don`t want to change it back to the original lights. Image Unavailable, Please Login
WGT, I'm happy to help a brother out - just received my set of Morimotos so will be DEinstalling the stock lights in a week or so and I'm happy to *give* you a taillight. PM an address and I'll even cover the shipping - because that's how nice of a guy I am. Kevin
Kevin, you’re such a nice guy I might bother you for one as well. I can’t recall which one I need and I’m in Europe right now. Will be back next week and hope I can be your friend as well .
A, I'm a nice guy - no matter what all my ex-wives might say! Currently have my F430 in storage while my garage is full of "stuff" as I'm having 1,000 square feet of hardwood flooring installed - so will be at least a week before I get the car back and then get time to swap the stock lights out for the Morimotos - but you're on the list. Kevin
Hi, I am in the UK and in the same boat as you - lights installed with Euro harness which is not working properly. Am also waiting for support to resolve. Did you get any further with this issue as yet? Thanks.
I re-wired the harness and got the lights working. I have sent the re- wiring details to Morimoto and hope they change the harness. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi, Good to hear, they did say to me that there was someone in NL whom had solved it and were getting details but I have heard nothing further yet. Are you able to post here or send me the details?
Hi Chris and others in Europe who want the Morimoto lights working on their cars. My English is just "junior school" so I hope it is understandable. Below is the info I have sent to Morimoto. Hi William, I allready contacted the person who did the job. Here is the info i got. We first had to find out the functions on the colored wires of the Morimoto lights. Of course you know these but that was our starting point. White lead= reverse light, yellow lead=direction lights, red lead= brake lights and blue lead= running lights. From the grey and yellow plugs from the car the black leads go to the negative of the harness, as mentioned in previous mail, need to be switched in the harness plugs from left to right, or opposite. The yellow car plug has an orange or amber lead= brake lights. The red/black lead=reverse light. Grey plug of the car has Red lead=brake light. Yellow lead= running lights and Blue lead = directions. We did not connect the orange or amber lead [ brake lights } from the yellow plug tot he harness as i wanted brake lights on the outer morimoto lamps only. I also liked to have direction light on the outer morimoto lamps only but found the resistor was conected tot his lead and we did not want to “disturb” this. With this set up i have running lights, reverse lights and direction lights on all 4 Morimoto lamps and brake lights on outer lamps only. Hope this info is helpfull to you.
