Any Leads On Starter IT job for 18 Year old around Phoenix

    Just a quick feeler out there to see if anyone has contacts or ideas for a nephew of mine who just graduated High school. He's looking for something to start out in the tech field while he attends ASU. He started his first classes a week or so ago. He is whip smart and a great kid. I'm sure he is going to do well at whatever he ends up doing.

    He'd prefer close to ASU somewhere if possible.

    With the IT industry only growing and many colocations moving to AZ, there are several data centers near ASU he could work at.

    Another option is for him to seek a position @ ASU in the IT field. This could help offset the cost of tuition since ASU offers a discount to employees for higher education. This could be the best option to learn and apply the knowledge on a daily basis plus improve the resume by showing real world application experience. In four years after graduating, he could jump quickly into the industry.

    American Express in PHX has a hugh IT dept and needs - may not be super close to ASU but an intern type position could be a thought/consideration
