I think it's time I got the seat covers in the 328 restored or, if need be, replaced.

I'd like some opinions as to seat-cover restorers in the greater Atlanta area: quality of work, price, speed, service, etc.

Not sure if they could do the Ferrari but...

I had Katzkin leather seat covers installed in my Miata by American Radio, 3080 Place, Suite 118, Roswell, GA. Work done October 1997. I don't see their phone number on the invoice.

They did great work. Had the car for one day. Lots of choices for materials and color. Mine cost $842 installed. The leather was $600. The rest is installation. I remember that I could have gotten softer leather for about twice the $. Didn't want it in the Miata.

Not sure if they have patterns for your Ferrari, but they are worth a call.

Here is the guy that FOA uses. He also did my 355 seats and they look perfect. Somewhere on here there is a thread with pics of my seats. I think they were around three grand and he turned them around in about 10 days. He also put on new foam so the shape is perfect.

You should also consider Tim DiPasquale, he does amazing work. His # is 770-318-3017. He did my 308 interior perfectly.

Having seen the interior of Mark's car, I will attest that they are perfect. I'm jealous everytime I compare my interior to his. Mine just aren't bad enough to redo yet....:D

I believe that I've figured out the place over here:

Marietta Auto Trim, on Damar Road, just off of Allgood, one block east of Cobb Parkway.

Is that the place? If so, I'll give them a call.

The problem with seat recovering is once you are finished they will make the leather on the center console and probably the doors look like crap

Tommy is right, if you are only doing the seats, have them match the color on the console or door panels. Otherwise the seats will stick out like a sore thumb.

I am having the car redone as I write this. I saw the re-covered seats last evening and they look sensational. (They were sitting in the sun to take out the wrinkles, which is standard procedure.) The leather is from a California-based company called GAHH and appears to be of very high quality. The color is what the car originally left Maranello in, what they called beige and what GAHH called saddle. (The numerical color code was the key to matching everything.)

Everything else is being redone in matching vinyl. The main part of the center console has been redone and I dare anyone to tell the material apart from leather; the color and stitching match perfectly. The door panels will not be re-covered, but all the excess dye has been removed and the panels will be re-dyed to match the rest. The carpets will not be replaced at this time (aside from the small panels over the door speakers) but will be cleaned. (And those door speakers will be replaced with a set of Kenwoods which, unlike the previous speakers, will actually work, I hope!)

The car may be done by the weekend, but I told Charles that that was not essential, as long as the job was done right. Marietta Auto Trim appears to have very high standards, but I won't make a recommendation until I see the finished job (and the bill!). Among the other great looking cars in the shop right now are a '40 Ford and a '57 Studebaker. They are also fitting a custom set of seat covers to a local dealer's entire inventory of 2010 Camaro SS's!

Another report -- and photos -- when the job is complete.

Are you going to bring her to cars and coffee next month? I'd love to see the new interior.
