OK then, while its not in my car I have a hidden room you have to go through to get to the 348. I was thinking you could mount one of these to the 348 glove box?

Love guns, have many, custom builds as well from PCR mostly long range rigs (utterly useless here in NJ now, until the zombie apocalypse that is) but someone drank the AR Koolaid I see lol.:)

What can I say...it’s some good Koolaid. One of them is 308 blackout. The custom precision rig to the left is 6.5 Creedmore.

hahaha. See? Wasn't it predictable where this thread was going to go? haha.

"Look how big MY dick is!"
"NOO! Look how big mine is!"

haha. So predictable. And it always seems that's the underlying intention. But I guess whatever gets you off. :)

Long ago, I found that the most effective location for weapon storage in a vehicle was the roof liner. No one looks up, and there is nothing in the way when you need to grab it.

the only people that can see it is the passengers.

No one is expecting when you raise your hands you will bring them down holding a firearm.

Funny or not, he's permanently removed from the thread and cannot reply, so let's move on from his disturbance of the discussion.

As a 348 enthusiast (will eventually own one) and a licensed firearms owner myself, I'm interested to see more of the car holster solutions folks have come up with. The needs not to damage the car and find a good form-fitting solution are greater in classic cars with tighter cockpits than the modern sedans, SUVs, and trucks we use as daily drivers.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

If you’re right handed, I like the location in the OP’s photo. Would require screws or maybe Velcro, but as far as quick access it can’t really be beat. The way the World is going, I’ve contemplated this if driving a conspicuous car.

Reading this makes me wonder how literally the rest of the world manages without a place to conceal a firearm whilst out in their car...

funny thread. I typically carry a .380.....not sure what good it would actually do if I ever had an issue as throwing rocks might be more accurate. I just slip it between the carpet and floormat. I really should carry more. Nothing would be worse than a situation erupt and I have to call timeout to go get my gun out of the car....how embarrassing!

I know you have been thread banned, but after reading the entire thread to date it seems that this is more about concealed carry locations in a 348/355. I live in vt where its almost illegal to not own firearms and I will admit that I do own a ****ton of them, but have never felt the need to take any of them along on a ride in my car. That is probably because of where I live. But I understand that some folks live in areas where they feel like they may need personal protection driving an expensive car. And trying to find locations that you can conceal a firearm are few and far between in these cars so I can see the reason for this thread.

I know it's not what you're looking for, but the best and most comfortable place for me while driving is AIWB crossdraw, offhand side with the butt facing forward. About 10:00. I'd love a better solution, but I'm not comfortable leaving a weapon in the car unattended and I hate transferring a condition zero firearm from one holster to another.

Ignore those who view victimhood as a virtue. They need to mind their own.

Thanks for the insight and support :) - I havent crossed this idea out yet either for the exact reason you mention. Ideally I want a holster that can mount in my car (location above) and stay in the holster right to my belt.

Maybe try to work out a sturdy strap (maybe a section of a steel core belt) that you can transfer your entire holster to when in the car, and transfer back to your belt when exiting? Butt up you should be able to clip it in there snugly and draw clean, possibly using your thumb to press on the top of the holster. Butt down as in your picture, I'd be worried about being able to get my entire hand in position for a strong grip if it's tight enough to be stable.

Putting your handgun in an empty Bose headphone case has always worked for me. It slides under the front seat or anywhere really and just looks like headphones.
