poor car ! ! ! only from his home to the studio - 3 miles so the engine and gearbox oil is not getting even working temperature. nearly never braked then really hard and the longest dirve to palm springs only once so this enigine or car until now has not a good life only resting
If anyone is interested I've a 512bb (red with black leather) and a monospecchio (black with red leather) for sale here in italy Both very original and in spot on condition I've to make some room for a new dream.....
As Newman asked I post some pics of my cars for sale Please let me know if you need any further info Let's start with the Monospecchio, which also had a recent belt service and the gearbox rebuild Al the rest if totally original from a french spec car Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
And here some pics of the BB The car is again totally original but it would benefit from a belt change all the other maintenance works have been done, and all works perfectly I could do it before sale if the new owner agrees The car is an original Italian car Since the day I took the pics, I've sorted the door internal card Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Interesting, a carbed car with injected mirrors and metric TRX wheels. If this is original (steering wheel tells me its an 81) then ferrari started using metric wheels on the last of the carbed cars. I would like to see pics of this car when new to confirm this combo.
The car on eBay also has injected mirrors and even an injected lower rear valence with the lights. Last of the run or another BB converted to BBi by the owner?
Here in Italy I've found many BB carb with TRX wheels, they even are mentioned in the official document made by Ferrari Company to get the national omologation I've this document in my files So I believe they are originals, probably std from the last carb models together with the mirrors I doubt it's an aftermarket conversion, but you will never know
Converting was the rage. The 365 wasnt immune to this either, Ive seen them with side scoops ala 512.
In 1985 I purchased 21171 in Ancona from the 2nd owner. It was an early carbed 512 with the BBi mirrors, TRX wheels, and rear valence with fog lights. This was an "upgrade" done by the owner...,maybe by the factory which was a few hours drive for the owner. But back then originality was not the rage like it is now.
I am new to the forum and cannot work out how to e-mail you. I am interested in your 512 bb and wondered if you would e-mail me your number so i can call you. Thanks, Luke [email protected]
You "click" on his underlined user name and you see Send Private Message, in there somewhere. Welcome.....
Great color....they got the rear end lowered (with adjustable shocks) but the front wheel gap looks high???
Yes, that one's off the market, I bought it in December. Nice car. It's up at my race shop now waiting for spring and getting a few checklist items attended to in the meantime; New XWX's, White shielded plug wires, tools and jacks, rear deck vents re-anodized black. A 12 cylinder wail will soon be echoing in the country back roads of NJ!
I started this thread as i was looking for a boxer. i ended up buying a 1984 512bbi: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
