I have never watched a boat race in my life, but that was just EPIC! Who wouldn't be inspired by one of the GREAT sporting stories of modern times. Amazing. A privilege to witness. Well done to both teams and congrats to Oracle. Awesome stuff.
You are right - simply epic comeback - The TV coverage was incredible - the boats and tech incredible - a whole new world of sailing - this you can really call racing not like the old days where I used to compete
The win imo is hollow. Out of 24 crew members only two are actual 'born and bred' Americans (I cannot include Tom Slingsby simply because he has dual citizenship), just saying.

In the old days, everything had to be from and made in the country and crewed by people of that country
The TV coverage was great. The way they showed the current in the bay to the air off the sail and the 3D animations of replays of the start with various angles. I hope they bring that to F1 as well showing the bad air off the wings with the car behind trying to overtake. Looking forward to the next America's Cup. This series made me an instant fan.
Thanks for the updated info, Debbie Downer . How many Houston Texans "Football" Players are originally from . . .
That was pretty good. lol There were a couple New Zealanders on Team USA so some people back there should still be happy.
Down 6-1, then come back to win 9-8? To paraphrase NASCAR. I know he's cheatin' I just can't figure out how he's doin' it. They are simply not that good and Elison's reputation precedes him.
8 I believe. More NZ'ers than any other nationality. The American boat simply developed quickly into a considerably faster boat. Pete
