    Hi guys
My 78 GTS appears to have the documented "LAZY" tach. Ive acquired a cheap after market tach for testing and verification and I see a major difference in RPM when I hook it up in the engine compartment.
I want to run the OEM and aftermarket tachs side by side for verification and calibration purposes. So I need a tach signal in the cockpit.
Is there a tach signal (brown and black wire) anywhere in the dash except the tach itself? (I'd like to compare the two before pulling the instrument panel.) Baring that does anyone have an easy way to run an additional tach signal wire from the coil to under the dash.

I've got the clock out for adjusting knob repair (done) and noticed there appears to be an extra encased wire? running above and behind the large wire bundle running from the rear of the car. Is that by chance the tach signal wire.

    Thanks
    Barry
