McLaren boss Ron Dennis has announced he is to separate from his wife Lisa, after more than 20 years of marriage. In a statement issued by the McLaren Group on Friday morning, Dennis said he hoped his family could deal with the situation in private. "Following the reporting of a matter that my wife Lisa and I had hoped would remain confidential at this time, we have decided to announce our separation after 22 years of marriage," said Dennis in the statement. "Inevitably, the process is a difficult one for us and our three children, and we hope and trust that the media will respect that it should also therefore remain a private one. "Neither Lisa nor I will be making any further statements on this matter."
Oh no, he's such a nice guy, I feel so sad for him. He's accomplished so much, he doesn't deserve this. (sorry, not mocking RD, but mocking the Mika-loving poster from the other week)
"Neither Lisa nor I will be making any statements" She probably has a lot to say though. Jeez, just working for that super anal retentive must be a chore, I can't fathom what marriage must be like. I'll bet RD was toilet trained at gunpoint.
Who's the next one? Mike Coughlan? At least he would have an obvious reason, with his wife not being too focused on security in copyshops...
Wonder what this message is in Ronspeak: 'A female person, carrying the surname Dennis due to marriage, is no longer part of our legacy. Therefore one can state that any other person of the female kind is free to join this family and underline a possible bond by marriage.' I'm a dutchie, so my Ronspeak may be not that perfect. Any further suggestions are welcome...
Oh come on - life must go on, even for Ron - I know of a v. famous Amputee Lady who is coming into some money and might be ready to get back into the W. London dating scene again...
Ouch Talk about the ole... 1 - 2 punch! Looses the World Championship, looses $100 Million Looes the respect of Millions & Mercedes Now his wife!!! I'm almost starting to feel bad for the guy! I have always wondered why she started to show up in the press over the last 5 years... back in the 80's & 90's she was never at a race???
I feel sorry for Ron Dennis, his wife and family. No matter the situation, a marriage that is disolved, is sad. I hope they all may find peace in their hearts, in the future. Sorry to hear it, really. Ciao...Paolo
