Wow,,,this and the dash ...everything I want to do. How did you paint the interior? What paint did you use?
Love these builds. question- since these type builds will not have the cs paperwork for collectibility, why go to the extra expense for the cs bits? my ‘singer’ 360 build will just be a lightweight high performance 360 with no regard expense or imitation of the cs. I suspect I’ll save considerable $$ avoiding the cs bits. not being critical just more curious about the philosophy of these type builds. btw- I love the cs looks... just not sure enough to build a clone.
The CS is one of my favorite cars and I think the Modena should have been built the same way! I love working on my cars and if I were to get a CS I wouldn’t want to modify it in any way and just keep it all original and a garage queen. I purchased my360 so cheap that I don’t mind changing it to the way I want it. A Manuel CS to me is the ultimate Ferrari. Sound, feel and looks! I know the costs for parts are outrages but being the fact that I’m doing all the work myself is a big cost savings. I also can do upgrades over time and still enjoy the car vs it sitting in someones shop for months at a time. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app

Hey since you lose the inner door handle for a cable...what happens to the window switch that drops the window down half inch?
Awesome!!! I did the same thing a year ago. Car is much better with thee pedals. Duskybird is also doing his as we speak.
So that’s at least 4 people converting 360/430’s right now, and that’s just the guys on this forum- not to mention people like EAG. No wonder parts are getting hard to find! Some neat solutions emerging for hard to get parts though- like using adapted Maserati parts, and fabricating some fairly complex linkages. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I have CNC machining so it's not an issue. We looked into making a kit but the legal liability was too much to overcome.
You concerned with safety implications, or Ferrari copyright? Clearly I’m not a lawyer, but safety doesn’t seem to be an issue, as you aren’t touching anything to do with brakes or steering. Plenty other companies out their selling parts to “enhance” your car, and they seem to do fine. On the copyright aspect, I can’t see the issue if you’re making something of your own design, even if it achieves the same function as an original Ferrari part. Not having a go- just trying to encourage you to market your parts. There would seem to be buyers out there. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
nice good to know. thanks. Dang, we have the EXACT same taste...My car is gated and Im doing the same thing...stripping out the interior and paint black, alcantara interior, and carbon challenge cards. I wish I had your talent ..I want a lower CS dash too. Wow I even wrapped my mirrors black until I find or make CS mirrors. Thanks for sharing all this
After reading all you have done and are doing, I'm humbled.........I can't even fix my droopy passenger side sun visor!!!
I sourced my parts 6 years ago.I just decided to take advantage of the situation to do a long list of maintenance and repairs. I have drawings of the trans bracket and am working on drawings for the brake and clutch pedals. I may CNC a couple of them but the fixtureing and the toolpathing is a bit beyond my home shop machinist skill set.
I had my clutch pedal machined through a website called 3dHubs. Excellent service- great communication, part arrived ahead of time, and the quality couldn't be faulted. A local company I work with mapped out the toolpath as 70 hours on one of their 5 axis Mazaks. Astounding then that 3dHubs produced the part for about £500 delivered. If you get your pedal drawn up, you can upload the cad model to their website and get an instant quote.
I have access to a HAAS VR and I have my converted manual ENCO 10X50 J head to CNC in my shop so I may just give it a shot at some point.
You could sell the parts ‘ mapping’. Or just make It free ware.... then people just send the mapping to a shop to build parts x y z. Should be no liability w a free program ‘for entertainment or educational purposes only.. etc... although seems a properly eng part should be fine. consider all the ls swap kit sellers...... these parts are just fabbed bits sold on eBay. I used to sell rear seat del kits for the fox body mustang 20 yrs ago.... I pivoted to selling just the plans which made my life easier and I believe shifted some liability.. but I shut it down when my time was worth more elsewhere
