That's what I love about Ferrari. A lot of companies have vehicles that go as fast or faster, but they're not thinking of how it feels to drive their cars emotionally. It's all about the numbers and not about the all-around thrill. Ferrari thinks about the driver experience and trying to improve all around engagement. I felt like they lapsed with that going from the 458 to the 488 (and I guess it makes sense with all their resources focused on integrating turbos into the line), but it sounds like they've worked really hard to get back on course with the Pista. If that's the case, the next generation of vehicles might be when I switch up again!

Last paragraph is not something you would have seen written about the Speciale.

"Perhaps it's those aspects that evoke a sort of digital quality to the 488 Pista, one that requires driving remarkably high speeds to fully experience its true nature. While its awesome power can certainly be experienced on the street, it's a dish best served where the 488 Pista's personality can be fully exploited: on the race track."
