Looking for an AMG GTS. Ideally black/black or Edition 1. Thanks!
Image Unavailable, Please Login I just sold mine. It was kind of a cool car but drove like a log wagon complete with rattles and harsh ride. With that said it was very attractive and fast.
Thanks for the feedback. I've test driven one and didn't find the ride unusually harsh; can't speak to the build quality as the one I drove was nearly new and didn't notice any issues. For a ~$90k car I figure it's a fairly safe buy
I've had a 2016 model for more than two years. About 8K miles, no problems at all except replacing two tires from road debris flats.I describe it as german muscle car; it rides and responds like my old GTO from 1971. The snout seems really long at first, but you get used to it pretty quickly while driving. It takes a little to get in and out (the turn and drop in approach), but is smooth, responsive, and a lot of fun. Like other AMG's, it won't hold its value like a Porsche, but is about as much fun to drive (see some of the Car and Driver/Road and Track comparison reviews - the GTS is quicker in a straight line, the Porsche Turbo is better in the curves). I have a 2016 GT S with under 7K miles in Solarbeam Yellow that I am considering parting with. PM if interested.
Thanks! Solarbeam Yellow is a bit too bold for my tastes though on the GT S it actually seems to suit the car well. GLWS!
If you're still looking for a GT S, a friend of mine has this one available now. 2016 Black/Black with 3k miles http://www.candpimports.com/listings/2016-mercedes-amg-gt-s/
@Townshend, I’ve got another option for you. I recently took in trade a 2016 Black over Red 2016 with < 5,000 miles. Currently asking ~$110. It’s Certified Pre-Owned. Thanks for the replies! The asking prices are too steep on the two above, I'm not sure it would be worth our time to look into a deal at the moment.
I did end up trading the car but it wasn’t part of our initial discussion, as I had made an agreement on the price of the LC 500 first.
What do you think of the LC? I've sat in them twice and played with some of the electronics, but never driven due to time constraints.
It’s nice and much more comfortable than the Mercedes. And I was worried about the long term or even the short term reliability of the Benz. Additionally, there is no comparison between the professionalism and level of service the customer receives from Lexus versus the other brand.
