I've been looking for the past 2 weeks to trade in my daily driver 2011 Rav4 for a Stelvio TI sport. This is good info. I haven't sat in one or drove one yet. Perhaps during Thanksgiving break I'll give it a shot. Giulias are at bargain prices (roughly $5k cheaper than a Stelvio on average), but I need the space.

Any comments on the Pano roof? Worth getting?

Pano roof is great and gives a better sense of space from the back seat perspective. Our kids love it!

Not necessarily. Those rankings are of questionable real world value. Company rankings fluctuate wildly based on some fairly frivolous complaints(sometimes a cars ranking will fall dramatically because the tech is more complex). Not to mention the "worst" car today scores far higher than the gold standard of a few years ago.
As to safety, I'd much rather have my child in a car with exceptional Active safety like the Alfa than some flacid Toyota that would be less likely to avoid an accident. I rented a new Toyota the other day and was surprised at just how awful its over the road manners were.

Personally? Keep the LR3. The best overall vehicle Land Rover has ever made (assuming it's the V8) I've had mine for 10 years, I treat it like crap, and while it's needed a normal wear item here and there (it has 197k on it now after all), it really is bulletproof.

Two friends have them also, one of them I bought for $3000 when it had 217k on it. (I sold it to him the month after I bought it) It drives beautifully and hasn't needed anything major in the past 3 years. It now has 235k on it. Another friend is well over 215k.

I have also read that Alfa Romeo scores highest in customer satisfaction. So while the mechanical parts may let us down sometimes, the owners still love their Alfas. Go figure..
