    This is very interesting!

    Which period does it cover?
Would you mind taking a picture at the book closed so we can have an idea of the size?

    Regards.
    Cris.-

0496M raced for the first time at the Goodwood 9 Hours (August 22th, 1955). Earlier at Sebring Fon shared the wheel of 0428MD.

Wow, awesome stuff. De Portago is one of those truly fascinating characters in Ferrari history.

I have this model of the Sebring car.

Your plain disagreement enhances my interest on the subject. No doubt you, or other Forum members, have some sound documentation -building sheets, original invoices or official Sebring entry forms- I don’t. May I ask you to share it with us or send me a PM. Merci bien!

No need of building sheets or any document here. 0428MD had typical rounded rear arches (like 0440MD) and can not be confused with 0496M which had a "standard" Scaglietti spider body and was the #26 Sebring car...

    Manel,
Aardy is right. Let's go ahead. Why not start with the book "Marquis de Portago, the Legend", talking of cars ? First box, first line, page 45: 0286AM did not make its debut at Spa (25.7) but 3 months before, at the Coppa della Toscana (31.5). Skip the Osca box. Third box, page 66: it is not "735 Sport... Chassis 482M" but 750 Sport, Chassis 0428MD. What else ? A lot of work. Don't loose time. Courage.

    The ex Portago 54,sn/(?)0428MD,at Sebring 55 was #29 Edwards / Daigh,always black.
Owner Sterling Edwards. After Sebring, new paint white and red.
No need of building sheets or any document for that, just see pics, bodies completly different in details.
