Anything new on this one? I just emailed the info@ for NOT A.R. for an update - will see if anything comes back. There sure are a bunch of guys that would love to have a good quality and reasonably affordable (sub $50,000) TZ2 kit. Considering a fair amount of the parts can be scavanged from old Alfas laying around in backyards/junkyards (engines, gearboxes, drivelines, gauges, brakes, etc.) the completed kit shouldn't be astronomically expensive... A TZ2 is a pretty amazing car, and a good quality replica would a joy to own and drive!
Hi snj5 I relise this is an old thread, you still interested in a 33 stadale? They should soon be available.
Thats a good Idea, but from what I have found most of these builders in Italy won't do this type deal. They want to sell the whole enchilada. If they were smart they would do just what the factory five guys do. Build a chassis and body that is engineered to work with the components off of some more modern Alfa. But I don't think the Italians have that mindset.
This car is listed on Anamera and at <www.kidston.com>. I have no financial or other interest in it. 1966 Alfa Romeo TZ2 replica Chassis no. n/a Price 315,000 The Oxford dictionary defines a replica as an exact copy of, and its hard to think of a better example than this. Assembled over a period of several years by a diligent TZ owner and authority, sourcing many original parts which are no longer available, we doubt that there is another TZ2 replica in existence built to this level of accuracy and period detail. The car is indistinguishable from a genuine TZ2 save for one small feature specifically added to prevent anyone passing it off in future generations as a factory-built example. With perfect copies of other legendary racing cars such as the Ferrari 250GTO and Lancia D24/D50 now a familiar sight at events such as the Goodwood Revival, the opportunities to enjoy an automobile such as this are greater than ever before. We would wholeheartedly recommend this car to collectors for whom the word replica would normally be taboo because of the honesty of its purpose and the level of knowledge involved in its creation. Reviving an old thread here... Just wondering if anyone knows of anybody who is actually making (as opposed to just talking) a TZ2 replica/recreation or a 33 stradale replica/recreation? It appears there are a few molds out there that could be used, but nobody that's putting together either a kit or a finished car. Any help/leads would be much appreciated. Thanks!
2 or 3 outfits do make 33 stradale replica's the place in italy makes fabulous replica ... it will probably cost you nearly as much as a real one. f-chatter and maserati guru wbaeumer oversaw the construction the ones from the uk are not so convincing. cheers hf
I am also interested in a TZ 2 replica "kit" if anyone has information, please post or send a note. I emailed NOTAR recently, no reply yet. Tom L.
the TZ2c has always been such a pretty little 'gto'......i'd enjoy a lil replica, with a 3.0 alfa V6 it would be great fun!
