Hi ! Here's some pictures of my GTV6 in Paris. I was looking for this car during 8 years before I bought it. Just felt in love with the V6 sound. Now... looking around for a F355 ! Ps: There is a GTV6 Owners Group in FB, owners, your'e welcome. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Pretty car. Have fun with it. Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo 2010 model/photo contest-Chicago April 24th 2010
Just listen to this FIA Jolly Club Totip Touring championship GTV6. For the money you wont find a better sounding touring race car(sounds better than a Dino!). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIua_I8GMu4&feature=related Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo 2011
I will post pics of my 1986 alfa romeo gtv6 callaway twin turbo tomorrow- they made 35 of them mine is number 28. Mark Charlotte NC
just found this thread .. got a couple of these .. both '83 models in silver. one's been in the family from new, has done 17,ooo miles and is mint apart from a blown head-gasket or two .. the other is a runner (well, was till i took the engine out) but has the usual alfa rot. fantastic cars. hmm, with the 308gt4, porsche 924, porsche 944 and the alfa's all sharing garage space i guess ive got something of a 2+2 fetish ?
Visited a couple of weeks ago, pretty neat and eclectic mix of cars, including about 6 various ISOs. I had to snap a pic of this GTV6, looked prisitine. If you're in the area, take the time to check this place out. http://www.sarasotacarmuseum.org/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
i think that is the maratona edition that came out toward the end of the gtv's production life. i believe only sold in america
Sure looks like a Maratona edition, but I thought the rims were of a different design. It's been some time since I've seen one.
That's a Maratona Edition, alright. The wheels are much newer; I had two sets before that I imported from Europe. One set came off a 1996 Spider V6, and the other came off a 1994 Alfa 164 Super.
2 more vintage racing photos I found. These are for personal use only and are taken by the photographer named on the pictures. They are from the Spa 24 Heures 1984 FIA touring car race. The Luigi team won their class, leading them to 1st in the FIA manufactures championship in 1984. As I said before, the GTV6 has as good a racing history as the famed GTA/GTAm. Hi all! I'm from Italy and post you my favourite toy for trackdays... Built in 1983, totally restored some years ago. Some visible mods: 8.25x15 OZ racing wheels with Yoko A032R, lowered. Currently undergoing general surgery with "heart-transplant" - 164 3.0 12v unit, modified - bigger breaks, 16" compomotive rims, stiffer suspensions, mods on various bodyparts. Time will tell... ;-) Regards, Fabio Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very nice GTV6. You might also want to post it on this thread I started at alfabb. They also like GTV6's http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/alfetta-gtv6-1975-1986/81478-alfa-romeo-alfetta-gtv6-1980-1987-worldwide-registry-thread-27.html#post948502 Tom Tanner/Ferrari Expo 2011-Chicago April 2011
Thanks Tommy, How couldn't I post my jewels also to Alfabb? ;-) Ferraripete, Don't worry, I'm not going to sell my 15" wheels.. My intention is to use them for trackdays, while for "normal" driving I'll use 16"s with street tires - not as noisy as semi-slicks and suitable for sudden rainstorms! Regards, Fabio
Sorry guys, I was forgetting to tell you an important thing... I'm not only an Alfista, but also a FERRARISTA! That's why I visited FerrariChat. Well, I can't afford Ferraris yet, but always dreamt and loved them. After all, Alfa and Ferrari go together: how can a mother not love her daughter? ;-) Forza Ferrari forever!!! Fabio
Love your car Fabio, very beautiful, I am thinking of selling my BMW e46 M3 and buying a GTV6 to complement my 348 GTCompetizione....if I do, I hope mine looks as lovely as yours does
That's funny.....I think I am going down the same pathway, just bought a 924 and am tossing up between a GTV6 or 124 Spyder......like to add a Mondial T to the picture as well
You're right, it's not an Alfa part. A friend of mine made it, in fibreglass. To say the truth, I'm going to have it reduced, 'cause it's a bit too excessive for my taste. Though at high speed I've noticed it helps a lot car's precision. Ciao
What a fun car to drive! I wish I knew what I had when I was 16. I still miss this car. Just an all round fun car.
Here is one at the Simeone Museum in Philadelphia; it's in good company with many other special cars. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I enjoy one of those. They are a blast at the track. Although - my left rear tire has more air pressure. Image Unavailable, Please Login
