OK, so we have the thread for the two big boys of italian sports cars, what about the "other" three. These 3 are undoubtedly the grandfathers of italian sports cars but unfortunately today don't produce cars anything like as good as the used to. What are you favorites? Hoping to see some quirky cars on this thread.

For me the zenith of little italian sports cars was the 50's and 60's. Some of my favorites, Flaminia Zagato Super Sport, Alfa Giulia SS and Maserati Mistral. (I very nearly bought a Mistral Spyder last year )

    Cheers

I really don't know that much about the early examples of these cars. I know the Alfa Spider with the rubber spoiler and the Maserati BiTurbo. I also know that Lancia hired Harrison Ford for one of the commercials.

But I have the feeling that this is not what you want to talk about.......!

    :)

I think no 1 is a 375 F1 from 1950 and no2 is a 500 Mondial Scaglietti Spyder from 1955. Best ask in the vintage section, the information those guys have is bordering on the scary :)

You can clearly see that we have your interest now! You have posted more in this thread alone than in the whole last year. :)
