Will Alcantara look good with use, especially if used as a daily driver?

I had Alcantara on the seat centers of my 2005 SRT6, drove it daily and after 80K+ miles it still looked great when I sold the car.

I had alcantara in a Civic Si. After daily use a number of years, it's looked new when properly "groomed." It's kind of like carpet; vacuum or brush it to get it all laying in the same direction and it looks new.

Much more durable than leather IME.

More sporty (more grip), easy to clean (no conditioner required), more temperature neutral on very hot/cold days, and won't crack. Go for it with no regrets.

I've also had only good experiences with Alcantara.

My sofa (roughly 10 years old) has microfiber alcantara, and is still in good shape.
The seats in my AMG (sold it after 10 years of ownership and 120,000 km's) also had half leather, half alcantara seats, and the alcantara part aged better than the leather portions.
My previous Audi A5 had alcantara, and those too aged perfectly well after 4 years of use and 120,000 km's.

    Hey Mohammad, small world.

Yes, I was on the SLK forums, mine was a late 2004 SLK 55 AMG with silver exterior, and red/black interior. Sold the Mercedes this summer and went for a 360 that I've had for a long time. The SLK was a lovely car for the ~10 years I owned her :)

I can recommend alcantara for seats and interior, very durable. But do not take alcantara for the steering wheel, this looks terrible very quickly.
