2023 has been a great year for driving and restoring for me....my '78 US-spec GTS is running (dare I say) perfectly, and I finally have the mechanicals to a place that are currently quite reliable. So I have had the time to actually get to know the car! All in all, a real joy to drive. Alot of the things I initially found off putting(pedal position, ingress and egress, windshield glare) I have acclimated to or found solutions to. The one issue I feel could use vast improvement is the padding of the seats. I pulled the original seats and had them reupholstered, and they look fantastic, however I find the padding to be lacking, in terms of comfort. Do any of you use a seat pad you like and would recommend? This car was out of commission for the first X years I had it in my possession, so pulling the seats to have them done again is not in the cards for me. An aftermarket pad of some kind is. Thanks!

Personally, I find the 308 seat incredibly comfortable.

The seat in our SUV (Acura RDX) though is another matter. I bought a memory foam seat cushion from Walmart which I use for long trips. It is great.

Note that an additional seat cushion is going to push your head another 2 inches toward the already-low roof.

Now I'm curious what solution you found for the windshield glare/dash reflection... :) (or is that one of the things you just got accustomed to?)

I suspect the foam has deteriorated to some degree on most of these cars. The proper method is to remove the skins and replace/recarve new foam. I’m not an expert on seats but I have watched a lot of YouTube

I have to keep the windshield savagely clean. At sunup, and there can be moments with the "nose to the sun" that are legitimately scary, even at 15mph, if the windshield isnt spotless.

Re: height. That's ok, I'm 5'8". I an afford another inch or two, I'll make it work. Maybe just a memory foam layer would help. I like the contour of the seat, or the shape. The foam is not providing enough cushion for my personal tastes.

Try a lambskin pad, there are some on Etsy, ones for wheelchairs can work. Won't add much if any height, and can make a notable difference in comfort.

You can get an alcantara cover for the binnacle which helps. Pretty easy to make.
