Hello my Ferrari friends! I would like to share with you my thoughts and my various problems regarding my experience after driving my new Ferrari 296 GTB for a month (2.600 km till now). First of all I have to say that the 296 model is an amazing car! U love driving it and YES. It’s a great fun to drive and have full control of this Ferrari car with no fear! And what is fun to drive for me? Unbelievable fast! Superb sound for a V6 engine, fully trusted brakes and also u have full control of the car without unexpected behavior with perfect parlance at every corner! Unfortunately I’ m dealing with various disappointing problems from the beginning of driving my new 296 GTB. These problems are: 1) Parking Sensors Error 2) Stop rear left lamp failure. I notice water at my tailor rear left light!!! Please notice that there is NO damage at all or crack at this rear left lighting. And my recent error is…. 3) Electrical system failure as a result the front lift and suspension magnetron system is out of order! Please find attached relevant photos of all my error messages. I have contact my local official Ferrari dealer in Athens - Greece and he told me to contact him again at mid September!!! because they are expecting to receive from Ferrari a specialized electronic diagnostic system for my 296 Ferrari!! So till then I have to wait and to deal with all above mentioned problems!! So I m wondering after 1 month driving the 296 GTB Ferrari, Is this the real quality of the car? What more I have to expect driving it i.e. after a year or more? Till now I did only 2.600 Km and almost every week I m dealing with a new error. Sorry to hear you are having so many issues. I hope they Are remedied quickly. I am amazed the dealer could deliver vehicles without all the relevant access to the Ferrari systems for the model
Thank you for your reply. Actually in Greece u can’t order a Ferrari. You have to order and buy it from another EU country! I didn’t have any issues with mine. But I can understand your frustration. That said, I feel confident your dealer will work things out to your satisfaction.
I have been told by two dealers that there is a new diagnostic system for the hybrid Ferraris but I'm not sure how this makes any difference to moisture in a taillight and did they TRY to diagnose your electical faults at all?
Thank you for your feedback my friend! They told me that they expecting this type of diagnose unit mid of September so unfortunately I have to wait till then. By the way after one day from the electrical error message disappeared and the front lift & Magnetron suspension system works normally!
UPDATE regarding my various errors‼️ Regarding my various errors and heaving already 2 weeks !!! my 296 GTB new Ferrari in the official Ferrari’s service workshop, I m still waiting to fix my car‼️ They have ordered a new rear left taillight and also a new parking sensor. Still waiting for 2 weeks to receive them from Italy to Greece‼️ in the meantime, no reply regarding the Electrical Error ! as a result the Manettino is totally out of order and also the lift system doesn’t work together with the mode for the pumping roads. is anyone experienced this type of erro?

I hope you get your problem resolved quickly Bill. Have they actually seen the electrical error and do they have the equipment now?
Thank you my friend for your kind reply and for your concern. Actually they have the diagnostic unit but I m waiting 2 weeks for Ferrari's feedback!!! Also 2 weeks waiting for the 2 spare parts. Everything is coming from Italy and my location is too close.....Greece! No further comments ....!!!
UPDATE Since earlier September my brand NEW 296GTB was in the Greek official Ferrari’s workhouse. They finally changed in warranty the tail light and one parktronic sensor. Also they did a reset from all the error messages and all this period they were testing the car as they told me doing more than 100 km in tests. No issue and no further error. ‘Therefore last Friday I went and I took my Ferrari and all went well since today, after 2 days, I get again the Electrical System Failure and the Manettino is not working together with the lift front suspension and the aerodynamic tail brake!!! The car is by default at the soft suspension no matter if you choose the sport or race option. So sad AGAIN to lose my car and I hope not for another 1 or 2 months!!!! Does anyone know anything about this Electrical System Failure problem?
lol what a disaster. he can't even lemon it afaik. did you buy it used or new? greece is broke. that's why no dealer there.
H very very sorry to hear that all this is being endured after buying such an expensive and beautiful car! You could try e-mailing the bosses @ Ferrari. I have also had minor issues with my 296GTS and raised hell at the dealership (with moderate success) and also with Ferrari (so far being ignored) but I am persistent and they will have to respond eventually or I will keep e-bombing them! Hope issues are resolved. Also: check your battery plus make sure you are charging it correctly: on charger when parked/not driven and no usage of extension cord-always plug charger into outlet.
The quality of extension cords vary greatly and this does not matter when you are using standard appliances as they allow for slight voltage variations . any plug in hybrid will advise you not to use an extension cord
FINAL UPDATE After almost 2 month dealing with various problems finally I can enjoy this AMAZING Ferrari. 1) Rear left tail light has been changed by new 2) Parktronic sensor has been also changed & 3) The most serious error was the electrical failure. It took a month to find and solve this problem and it was an installed failure. Specifically a plug module was not plugged normally, I guess from the factory, as my Ferrari is brand new! After a detailed on line troubleshooting from the local workshop together with the Ferrari they notice that one plug was not properly installed‼️ So now everything is in good order and I hope I won’t face any other problems. Last but not least, driving the 296GTB is truly a FUN to DRIVE
