The AC fan was only running on full speed so drilled out the AC Power Transistor rivets today to replace it with 863-2N5886G bought from Mouser for $3.25. I found the ground wire nut had loosened either from vibration or the heating and cooling of the transistor. Tightened and added a second nut to lock it on and it now operates properly. Easy fix

For my information the numbers on my AC Power Transistor are BDY29 GE/RCA V 8845. I am assuming the last four numbers are the year of manufacture.

I also found some wires taped together that ran through the same retaining clip attached to the bottom of the AC unit as the AC Power Transistor wires. I removed the tape and and found them connected together. There are 4 wires - 2 yellow, one green and one brown with the yellow wires each connected to a green and brown wire. Was something removed by the PO and the wires connect and if so what should they go to? Does not look like something that would have been done by the factory.
