Abu dahbi Blue 458 question

Its available, but not a lot of orders. Has a bit more green in it and can appear to be a teal color on the configuration online and on the color sample. But any pictures I have seen of the color make it look more like TDF blue in the bright sunlight. It actually looks really good in pictures, but I personally was worried about a teal colored Ferrari, despite the fact that the color doesn't appear that way in pictures I have seen.

Abu Dhabi blue is a very special blue, very crisp under sunlight or bright settings, with a strong green hue and it's similar to TdF in darker settings, I'd say. It is very original, among any manufacturers, you will hardly find a similar colour, and it is not bland or feminine at all, IMO (I know many are scared by feminine-related things).

 

My favorite blue and looks great on the 458. Ferrari of Orlando had one for sale not too long ago.

All blue metallics are difficult to photograph accurately. Ferrari of Newport Beach had a 458 in Abu Dhabi Blu recently. It looked great in pictures, but I didn't get to see it in person. I like it from most pics I've seen but really need to see it on an actual car.

I have seen this color at my dealership.
It was a standard 458 color.
Yes, it is quite bright. I did not think it resembled TDF. Closer to a dark NART in terms of comparisons to other blues you might be familiar with. IMO. Interesting that many on this thread say it looked teal. As I saw it in the shop and remarked that I liked it, my salesman/technicians said that it gives off a decided purple hue in the right light. They were not big fans of it. They said nothing about a green hue. I guess everybody sees colors differently.
I did see a Cali T in traffic in a metallic blue that had a decidedly teal hue. Wonder if someone saw that blue and was told it was abu dhabi. Or as is frequently the case, I am just nuts/wrong.

This is the best example of Blu Abu Dhabi I've found over these years.

Fact: it is currently in the standard range (free choice) since at least 10 years or so.

The green hue is obvious to me, I can hardly understand anyone seeing a purple hue. BUT, everyone please judge by yourselves.

TDF only looks good in bright sunlight, so Abu Dhabi is probably the winner

 

BAD is pretty cool looking from the latest pic posted. I see green hue...no purple.

 

The new Blu Corsa is pretty amazing, too.

Agreed. Like I said, blues are hard to photograph accurately. It's quite electric in person. Even on a cloudy day, it simply lights up.

Here is how Abu Dhabi shows on the Ferrari Configurator site. I have not not seen a picture of this color on a car where it actually looks this green/teal, but thats what Ferrari is trying to depict. I would think this scares people away.

I think you're right, surely this scares some people.

 

The color looks nothing like what's in the configurator. honestly the configurator does the color an injustice. Pics are difficult but in person there is no doubt I see teal hues.

 

What month is the annual car show in town there? Saw some pictures of an Italia at the street show wearing blu abu dhabi a couple of years ago...

 

No, that is not Abu Dhabi! That is Blu Corsa as stated in a post before, including the link to that same photo.

Please refrain from posting wrong info, as if the color shades and their variable depictions weren't confusing enough!
