I actually do know the backstory on this W198 Long story short I met a guy name Mark Passarelli in Facebook, he's a specialist with 300sl and had sold a few of them. The photo was taken in his backyard. This was also had the same case with the other one I came across in Durham, NC. The owner John Brettell parked it under a tree in 1970 and left it for 35 years in Ohio. He took the belly pans off and ran over them with a fork lift then threw them away. He finally brought the car to him to restore in 2006 but he was so cheap he took it to a backyard body shop and it still isn't finished in 2019. It was a mess he said. Chassis Number is 5500192.
No, this isn't an A.I generated image. These are 3d rendering that has been existed long before the social trend of A.I generated image (early 2022). A.I generated image are different program than 3D rendering, 3D rendering let you build a model in 3D with polygons, and then rendered in variable different texture. 3D rendering has been exists since the late 90s. It sort of like sculpting in art but in digital, the user still needs to rely a human hand skills, effort and knowledge in composition and correction. A.I in other hand are computer algorithm and codes, where the users put a text prompt and just let the A.I image generator do the job. It is still plenty of wacky, unrealistic-out of shapes amount of details, and monotonous lighting.

This picture have been circulated around the internet, and it's quite difficult to find the author of this 3D rendering. We used Blender or Maya3D for 3D rendering and 3D modeling, while Photoshop is mostly for 2D work for instance: editing picture, cropping-cut-paste image, and digital drawing.
I like digital drawing, some people says mix media, I spend time to learn this technic, at the end I feel blocked, probably because I learn alone.
It's all good, don't feel bad about it. Digital drawing is great! Still maintaining the human creativity and skill. I as well currently learning how to draw in digital by myself. I usually do traditional
Absolutely Ed, As I told you I find limits - my personal limits- with CS6. Down the forum there s a section creativity, here it s more a thread for abandoned cars....
