looking for a shop to rebuild a F355 power steering pump.
talked to AAE this morning. They said they've stopped F355 pump rebuild. Claiming some quality issue with some of the components. so AAE is a no go.

    thanks.

....to the OP, that sucks as they did a great job on mine 5 years ago. (although they sprayed it black so I needed to clean that off, which was my reason for popping in here)

Rebuild kits are available and DIY rebuilds are feasible if you have any familiarity with replacing seals and such. The pump is a LUK Model VT65 2106326 (Ferrari part# 158114). The same pump was used on e30 era BMWs and BMW sells a rebuild kit with the following BMW part number: 32411133023. When I did my engine out a few years back I rebuilt mine without much difficulty. There was no issue with the pump but for fun I decided to rebuild all of the components including alternator, water pump, AC compressor, etc. while the engine was out.

Excellent post. Thank you for sharing.

What did you do to your A/C compressor & which parts did you use?

Took it completely apart, cleaned all components, rebuilt with new gaskets and oil. The AC compressor in the 5.2 cars is a Sanden SD7H15 7840F (Ferrari part$ 157355). This task is a bit more complex and I recommend doing some research before jumping into this one. There are a few special tools needed. I suggest starting with reviewing the Sanden SD Compressor Service guide: https://www.sanden.com/servicemanual.html.

If the parts are similar to BMW, this guy has a good reputation in the BMW community for rebuilding pumps and compressors. Who knows, he may want to expand his service to Fcars.

Do you know the BMW exact product number for the actual pump? Or what year & models look the same part? I'm trying to find the bmw vehicle that used the same power steering pump. Thanks

E30 325iS pump part is 32411141207. Appears to be the same if you plug it into google image search, but no way to know without both in hand..
