From the collection of Charles Pozzi, who put the Pozzi in blu Pozzi, I believe. Nice - but my living room isn't big enough and what else could you do with a timewarp-mobile like that? Cheers Kevin Love that site - there's some great stuff there.
One thing of note, look closely at the driver's seat, quite a bit of wear for around 80 miles, don't you think?
I was also going to say the same thing. Something is fishy here.... unless people just SAT in the car, but didn't drive anywhere. There is definitely too much leather wear for a car with <100 miles on it. -Daniel
Ferrari did not even make a 1985 BB512i. The last year for that model was 1984, the TR was being sold world wide by 1985. And, my 1982 BB512i with almost 18k miles has less seat and pedal wear than that car.
Those guys are smoking crack man......I saw the same thing that interior looks like 60,000 miles to me.... Put the crack pipe down!!!!!!
The "1985" and "i" stampings do not appear to be by Ferrari. See how they differ from the stamping of the last four digits of the serial number. I suspect a conversion company did both for some reason; probably because that's the year when they converted the car. My 1982 BB512i has neither 1982 stamped nor i stamped on its ID plate.
I agree completely..... Phil Bachman, who owns 52935, (the very last BBi to be made), and is at least 150 cars, numerically after this 'pretender' was fininshed in the factory on the 12th May 1984 ! The wear may have come from the car being a 'used' display model possibly ? Seb
What a bunch of BS!! Someone has "added" 1985 to that plate. The factory did not stamp the year on the plates, only the VIN#. Here's the plate from my 1983 512BBi for comparision. Also, the gas pedal on that "80 mile" car (red carpet) has MORE WEAR than my Boxer's pedal which has 14K original miles on it.
I suspect it will be on E bay shortly requiring a western union deposit of $10,000.00. and some unfortunate soul will get his rear end Wiped.....out Can I say that on FC
Maybe the old owner liked to sit in it all the time and play with the pedals and switches. I thought the factory put more than 80 miles on each new Ferrari thru its test procedures which totaled about 150 from the test drivers.
Yeah, I've read that as well. I think we are all agreed that this is pretty much BS all around. Crack pipe notwithstanding some has reduced the value i\of this car further with all this foolishness.
I just received an e-mail from Gerald Rouse of the Ferrari Market Letter that confirmed that the last BB512i was made in July 1984 .
Good One Bernardo! That's It! Too many kids asking to sit in it! lol! So the "i" designation doesn't show at all on the Boxers VIN plate?
Alan, Yes, there is an "i" on the plate. Just look in the lower right corner of the photo that I posted and you will see "BB512i" printed on it.
