A Chick Magnet?

Funny you say that. I can't pump gas or park the car anywhere without having guys coming to talk to me. Women usually do not acknowledge the car, but I notice that it is only if I am aware. The other day at the gym, the Pilates instructor (hot chick) was asking the kid at the front desk about my car, but days later in the parking lot when I was driving my car, she didn't even look at it.
Strange.
Then again may be I look like Quasimodo.

 

The kid told her you were gay & is humping her this very moment.

 

Hahahaha,i have picked up many girls in mine,im still only 25yrs old!!hehe But where i live,mostly little kids love the car,more than anyone else!!!

 

With a nice Ferrari a monkey could pick up chicks.

Sorry to say a 550 doesn't look exotic and sleek which is why most women don't pay attention to them, get a mid engine Flat 12 or V8 they can do much more with the lines.

 

I've found the "Spinal Tap" method works much better than any car....

 

Exactly! Most women think it is a MB or BMW coupe ............

Mid Engined cars just have more of an EXOTIC look to the non-car folk.

Frankly, it is somewhat common knowledge that Ferraris mainly attract teenage boys and car guys. Just tell the chicks you know Tom Cruise; might work better.

 

Get a rear wing and a neon kit...that'll help........

I've found the same thing, and I have a theory:

Women generally avoid doing anything that makes them look less than graceful, and anyone who's ever gotten into a 328 will tell you that it is next to impossible to look graceful doing that!

My friend was downtown in his 550 one time, and a chic said to him "nice camaro".

Guys appreciate the cars more because they know what they are.

 

IMO, the 550 won't draw much attention in most places that commonly have high end cars. Whenever I take the 355 out in Vegas, it gets A LOT of looks and comments. You would think Pam Anderson is walking down the street with no clothes from the reactions!
People stop me for pics, guys in minivans rev, cars slow down and pull up aside, etc... As far as the car being a chick magnet, i would agree. Women ask for rides, start conversations when I get out at a gas station, or i find #'s when i come back to the car. It definitely doesn't hurt to have the car, but not sure if i want those kind of women for the long haul!

 

i agree, chicks are not attracted to ferraris. i think the are either intimidated or just dont know what they are, i get more looks from girls driving my bmw.

Biggest "chick magnet" I've found is my (classic) Mini Cooper. Women that are not even car-oriented will go out of their way to check the car out, ask questions, say how "cute" it is, etc... never had anything close to this sort of effect on the fairer sex with any other car I've owned... and (perhaps not surprisingly) I've found the Ferrari to be nearer the other end of the attraction scale... near replusion...real close to a Trans Am... I asuume it's the stereotypes...

Most girls- women do not throw themselves at guys with or without a car, so they are not going to do it cause you drive up in a ferrari.

But trust me they know, and thats the way they like it. Its the game.

My car mostly interests 14 year old boys and 50 year old women. The boys all want to know what it is, the women remember seeing them when they were kids. That happened twice; both grew up in LA. A third 'older' woman was looking at it in a parking lot as I was returning. I said, "Cute car huh!" and with a thick German accent she replied, "Ish so ugly ish almost pretty."

I'm still not sure if that was a compliment or not!

I was thinking exactly the same thing....those linguistic nuances are a dead giveaway....

 

I have studied how women respond to percieved exotics and I must say they look the other way when I am in my 550. They absolutley will not make eye contact, but I always observe them checking me out in my Tundra pick-up, sometimes a long stare.
My daughter who guys think is very hot, says she will look at a guy in a pick-up because he is percieved as down to earth and approachable whereas she will not give a guy in a fancy car the bennefit of a look because he will know that all that flash worked and sarcasticly mentioned something about compensation for their unit down below. No wonder I bought a 550!
Its a control thing with women and the more self confident the women the less likely that you will get a look. Also you are more likely to get ingnored commesurate with the increase of the womens beauty. So there you have it guy's if you want looks, expect them from ugly girls, young girl's, or girl's with no self esteem. Something happens as a women ages, say, sixty or so and above. Then pull up next to you and roll down their window and engage in conversation about your car, what kind is it? Sure is pretty! that kind of thing.
Want looks? Get a pick-up and not the flashy kind.

 

Gary..You hit the nail on the head. I have been saying this ever since I've been on this site. Ferrari's are not chick magnets. Pick-up trucks, Jeep YJ's, towing fun vehicals are the ultimate magnet. I have been witness to this hundreds of times. If your gay..Ferrari's or anyother exotic car is your pick-up tool. If your straight and need a car to pick-up girls, buy a nice Pick-up and tow a boat or somthing. A motorcylce works well as far as i've been told.
