TKR and SSC Aero are two POS kitcars that the performance numbers only exist in there builders minds.

I don't like these two cars. Barabus seems a mix between Saleen S7, Pagani Zonda S and some other exotics.
    And the SSC... Mah...

That`s one of the best reply I ever saw on this forum Haahaahaaa!!!

The Brabus-cars are made for our friends from Russia with pockets full of cash but no style for choosing the right underwear!

I can't stand "Supercars" like those. The Mosler 900TT, Saleen S7, and a few now these two clowns pop up claiming they are the best. Its just like what Tiff Needel once said "The word Supercar has been aubused, people think they can just drop a V-8 into car and call it a Supercar". I couldn't have said it any better myself.

I don't think anything will ever "slay" the Veyron except in the looks department.

PS the Saleen S7 kicks *** although it does have only a V8. The XJ220 has only a V6 but it's still one of the beastliest cars out there!

Difference is that the Jag has a Jag-engine fitted! The other is a bitsa-car!! Hate those.....!

A real supercar has its own developed and inhouse made engine. All this Zondas, Koenigssomething, Mosler (what a silly name!), Saleen with a spleen etc., for me all rubbish! Sorry to say.

    Ciao!

Pretty sure this has been posted B4. And this is hardly a Veyron killer. It is barely a kit car. The engine looks like it was put together by some kids with a Jeggs cataloge.

    You got me on this!!

Perhaps this is the only exeption as BMW developed the engine exclusively for McLaren! This motor was never used by their own or other cars.

Wasn't this engine made for the BMW M8, which never went past prototype stage.

    taken from www.e31.net:

"The BMW 850CSi is a detuned version of the M8 which has never been produced and remained a prototype only. The M8 should have been built in a consequently lightweight manner in order to be a 'Ferrari-Killer'. The specially developed 550 hp engine has never been used except in the prototype - of which only one exists. But with the support of McLaren the M8 engine was transformed into the power plant of the McLaren F1 super sports car. At the time of development of the M8 there was virtually no market for such a car, so the BMW manager cancelled the project."

quiet sad really, wouldve love to have seen this beast...
the BMW 8 Series are beautiful

I owned #27 of 225 850CSI. What a great car that was. It did not take much to get it's S70 V12 to a respectable perfomance level, even though the CSI was fairly heavy. After some minor mods it became very quick.

    *Note 850CSI had the S70 the M F1 had the S70/2 V12. The 850i and 850Ci had the M70 V12.

i cant stand when all of these companies post only there theoretical performance numbers. If every car's performance was based off of theory then, according to gearing, the viper would do somewhere above 300 and even my VW GTI would do somewhere close to 180. In a perfect world there would be some government mandated test along the lines of the epa gas mileage test in which all cars are tested for their performance. Then I think these "slayers" would go back to their computers and change their fake performance numbers. I know its a completely impossible idea, but it would be cool.

I thought the XJ220's engine was a reworked Rover unit from the MG Metro 6R4 rally car?

Exact. The XJ200 was only a Jag by name. It was built by TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing - also famous for the collapse of the Arrow F1 team and subsequent bankrupcy) which was handling the Jaguar endurance programme at the time.
Walkinshaw took deposit for this supercar, on the promise that it would have a real V12 Jaguar engine. When the final product reached the customers, with a turbo V6 Rover Metro-based, many refused the cars and took him to court to get their money back - and won.
I don't think that he managed to clear all the stock, and some of them were on offer at heavily discounted prices here in UK.
Not a bad car by any means, but not what is says on the tin!

This is the only street legal vehicle that can take on the Veyron with no problem and no mods.

Otherwise take those modified Kitcars and tunners somewhere else.
