I have a 2012.5 Porsche 991 and recently did my annual service. The car has 3,500 miles on it and the service interval reminder came on over the weekend. My questions is:

Does anyone know the procedure to reset the service interval reminder (other than taking to dealer)?

If not, has anyone used this tool on the 991... Maxiservice OLS301?

I tried using my Actron scan tool to reset the service reminder with no luck. Is anyone aware of another procedure other than going to the dealer?

I believe the Durametric does this. I have not tried it yet to confirm but it does show the ability to do so.

No such luck. Does not look like the Durametric works on the 991 yet.

I am now all set. It looks like the tool that I had access to did not have the latest software installed it.

I ordered the Durametric Tool from the website after talking with one of their reps. It was $287 for the Enthusiast Version.

I received the tool today, installed the software, and reset the Oil Reminder.

I plan to upgrade to the Professional Series when some of the additional software comes online (mainly so I can turn off the damn running lights).

Aren't the Pro and Enthusiast kits the same, except for the ability to do more than 3 cars?

The Pro allows you to do unlimited cars, but also allows you to get into some of the command codes such as turning off the daytime running lights and set the aero kit to on or off. That is not available on the Enthusiast Kit.

That would have been nice to have when I put the TechArt body kit on the car.

That's interesting! I bought a pro kit about 8 years ago and should dig it up. I can't believe how much they charge for the pro kit these days! I wonder if the old style kit can do coding?

Why you are so certain your car doesn't need service at 3500 miles?

The service reminder was for the oil service and I just did the oil and filter change back in November before I put the car away for the winter.

The service reminder was not on when I put the car away for the winter, but was on when I started the car for the firs time in the spring.

Now that I have the software, I will do the reset when I do the oil service again in the fall.
