Had a '15 GT3 lined up to buy, but PPI didn't check out. Looking to buy from Private Party... there is no sales tax on private party transactions in AZ, only $16 license fee... so Private Party it is.

I'm curious--what could possibly go wrong in a PPI on a year old GT3?

I'm curious too since I intend on picking up a 991 GT3 at some point.

The car was represented as "flawless", "perfect", and described as "no chips, no peppering of the headlights" etc.

Well turns out that the car had road rash down one side and a dent in the front quarter. Just so happens the seller, an actual Porsche dealership whose salesperson used the terms mentioned above, stated that he personally inspected the car himself and verified the car was immaculate. None of the pics I received were of the areas mentioned, so I couldn't have seen them. All pics sent to me were of other parts of the car. I requested more pics, but did not receive them. Wanting to keep things moving forward, I started getting funds ready to transfer and arranged the inspection.

Well, when doing the inspection, those issues are obviously going to be noticeable.
Deal breaker. I mean if the car is represented as "perfect", and these glaring issues are present, then I lose confidence in the total representation.

I was not too happy, esp. since I had purchased other cars from this dealer.

It blows my mind when sellers do that, as if it's somehow going to get overlooked. So aggravating.

Was this a blue one at a Long Island dealer?
If so, I saw it in the showroom and couldn't believe how bad it looked for being such a new car. I just thought to myself "damn, this thing did all of it's miles on a track"
