price seems about right, but I would watch out for early model F1s.

Thats the lowest price I have seen for a 99 360 in quite some time.

Looking at his feedback, shows he bought the car for 100,000 on Feb 25th, drove it 600 miles and is now selling it? Seems kinda odd unless its got problems.

I'd agree that the price seems about right given year and miles. I would also question a '99 F1 plus I'm not exactly sure what he is saying about the timing on the belt service.

If you are comfortable with the F1 aspect, call the guy and ask why he is selling. (plus get a PPI)

From what I read he said NOTHING about a belt service.

That is close to about right...seems like he is trying to cash in $5k. I am buying one with 14K miles...titanium, black leather, F1, BBS challenge wheels and OEM wheels, new clutch, 30k mile service, recent 5k service....a little less expensive. They are out there if you search...buying ebay scares me...unless it is from a dealeror you negotiatea PPI before the sale is completed.

note the requirement to input a valid credit card for a bid over 15k. very suspicious giving credit card info to an unknown entity. Could have snapped these photos anywhere and looking for credit card info. Beware!

I don't think the seller sees that information...it is an ebay requirement. I have bid on items with that before and I did not have to show anything...since I havemy CC on file with ebay.

make sure you read through the auction where the guy bought the previous car on ebay...says there was paintwork on the car....I would be afraid of an accident...even if it doesn't show up on car fax. I recently bought a 996 TT that was sworn to not have damage from a dealership and the car fax was clean....3 months after I bought it an accident from a year prior pops up on carfax....and carfax's response: you are S.O.L.

I've heard from others that the yellow 360 you reference is pretty beat up. Doesn't show in the pictures, but it needs some help.

I wouldn't get too worked up on the paintwork yet....find out if the seller has the paperwork related to the damage. The repair order will help you determine the extent of the damage - keyed, hit by a shopping cart, major accident etc. If it was not a major accident and repaired by a reputable facility, then the paintwork, imo, is far less of a concern than any major services that are due/overdue. Ask your local F-car dealer to pull service records for the VIN - that will at least show what has been done by any dealer.

Similar to buying a home, you should get as much information from the seller as possible. Just look at how many questions are on a home inspection or sellers disclosure for a $100k house. Be diligent in your research and good luck!

This price is extremely low, to good to be to be true probably. Those of you who think it's about right have not been searching the current 360 inventory. You can buy nonserviced, euro, repaired, or problematic 360's for 105-110 all day, but why? When you are buying a 6 figure + car why bargain hunt? You are better off buying a clean well serviced example for 10-15K more and have a good car.
As far as Euro cars, you must be careful of a few things mainly mileage discrepancys. There was no lack of 360's imported, why a Euro?

jeez, if only the used market was this good in the ME. In bahrain (my country) there are two ferraris with less then 10k miles on them and they are selling for $66,000-$80,000 and thats maximum for a spider. its a lot less for a modena coupe.

I have been searching 99's for about 3-4 months and they range from a low of $99 private party to a high of $130...at a dealer. Most of the ones I saw in the 100-110k range were 20k+ miles. The ones in the 115-130 range were under 10k mileage. Even the ones with higher mileage and lower price had service records...albeit maybe the 30k service was done in 04.

With that being said, I purchased a 99 with F1 Titanium/blk with 14k miles, challenge wheels, and OEM wheels, 30k mile service, new clutch, etc...everything up to date for $100k...no stories...2 owner. It should be here in a week or so. They are out there, you just have to hunt and peck and do your homework. This was a private party sale. If someone wanted to pay me $120k...I would take it though..and search again. The search is fun for me.
