I’m in the process of purchasing an 812GTS. I find it odd that there are over 100 GTS’s listed on CARS.com. There are only 28 812SF. Why are so many more people looking to sell the GTS?

I also have a beautiful F12. Should I keep it? Selling enables adding a different car in the future.

My guess is there still an incentive for original owners to sell for some profit on the GTS's

Because the *next* V12 Ferrari is in order/production now. The 812GTS isn't the latest hottest any longer.

I would concur - you can make a profit and the next one is coming out so a good time to dump

I've gotten that advice too, and have for now. Do you think it's going to be viewed as increasingly desirable in the future?

No one knows but the 812SF has seen some depreciation and the F12 will likely as well....the desirability is all about the next owner.....for someone who has never owned a V12 FCar it is highly desirable....for someone that owns an 812 or the new 12Cil not so much....if you desire a GTS absolutely go for it...I'm in the market for an 812 at some point but I'll be coming from a Lusso....not a huge rush and prices are steady....

Shouldn’t there also be a quantity of 812SFs too- especially because I assume they made more?

I bailed on the 12CS for now. I think it’s going to depreciate hard at first. I got my F12 for 50% of MSRP. Maybe I’m wrong but I was also way wrong on the 296 thinking it would hold above MSRP.

I own an F12. It sounds better and is worth way less. And I can hear the sound better in a GTS than a coupe. Is better sound that you can hardly hear better?

Looks like a nice example: CdF is exquisite, ultra low miles, one owner, nicely appointed. Odd that it’s been for sale for 276 days despite having seen over $80,000 in price reductions. It’s almost certain to be a consignment piece. Perhaps, the owner is more motivated now? I do think that most buyers would want a traditional Ferrari shield, but that’s an easy remedy.

  15. That's sort of my concern.

Only blemish on what otherwise is a near perfect spec (for me).

My understanding is that swapping shields is extremely easy especially for the dealer.

You can put a simple valve controller and change the volume and personality as you wish for minimal exhaust change and better enjoyment of the v12/ louder as well

Both great cars but yes sound is better all around in 812. Just start up alone is a hardon.

I had my dealer perform the install, but I am complete knucklehead.
