Performed a search and didn't locate a single thread that aggregated the various exhaust set ups that owners of an 812GTS have tried with success...and failure...with regard to their desired sound result.

I just bought a GTS and am attempting to decide what I want installed prior to the car shipping to me.

As like most...I am attempting to achieve that '90s F1 high pitched symphony.

Has anyone achieved such a result with ONLY a mid-pipe & rear boxes and leaving the cats/GPF intact?

Are 200cell (or lower) catalysts absolutely necessary in achieving that sound?

I don't want to shell out the $$$ on the extended warranty that is being offered to me at a discount by the dealer if I am ultimately going to void it by touching the catalysts. I have been assured that a mid-pipe & rear boxes will not affect the warranty.

I live in southern Arizona so top down/rear window down driving is contraindicated for a large portion of the year. Coming from a 200cell catted F12...I am sure I am going to want some change over stock.

Any input will be fully appreciated!

Will lack the real punch unless you change the cats to either version. It just won’t open it up enough. But I think the majority here don’t prefer that level of intensity.

There is a recording someone made of their stock GTS and then their Novitec X pipe and back box. You can hear the pitch is higher, but not sure anything else comes across.

If looking for a conservative option, the exhaust remote is probably cheapest/easiest with the best results

If you want crazy F1 then Novitec cats (gpf delete) + X pipe + CEL module is probably the way to go
