Car will be epic no doubt about that.
BIG question is will it be a limited number production run.
I for one am not sure now.

I hope it is full ICE with no electric thingies. 71 hp more to carry batteries, motor(s), cabling, etc, doesn't make a whole lot of sense especially with more weight and complexity. Maybe first release of a non-F140 variant. That would be cool but guessing another F140. If some other combination of hybrid then too bad.

I have spoken to two people close to the car’s development who believe it will be limited number

Latest rumour I havee heard is that VS may not launch until 2021 and minimum criteria for allocation in UK will probably be ownership of both Superfast and GTS.

probably, hopefully, end of 2020 but there is a lot of work to do yet.....so 2021 is also an option

in EU general allocation criteria seems to be 5 cars in garage and at least 2 of 5 bought in the last two years....probably including 812SF and GTS depending on specific EU market
    It will be limited numbered

I assume the SP1/2 choice of plaque was driven by the initial commitment to build “up to 499”...ie if they build less they cant have a plaque saying “1 of 499”

I haven’t found any OFFICIAL Ferrari communication saying this ( up to 499 ) , only some third part press articles. My opinion is that 812 VS will be for a very few people and in very limited numbers but not numbered ( same of Pista Spider ) at the end nothing will change because Ferrari will declare the total prod. Number at the end of the production and the car will be very special even without a plaque with written 1 of ... so the new limited edition are always the same cars of before 458 speciale Aperta / 488 PS , F12tdf/ 812”tdf” and Enzo / SP1 and 2 only without the “ plaque 1of 799 or whatever is “

Heard the FUV (SUV) Purosangue will be presented in Geneva in February...

With regards to the 812 VS I heard it will be presented in October/November of this year...
In terms of numbering and 812 VS Aperta I personally have no insights...

Also don't know anything about criteria - does anyone know something that has not been addressed up until now?

I’m going to guess sound optimization. Possibly trying to compensate for the raspiness lost from the GPFs through other measures to improve tonal quality.

Probably differs a lot between countries. But I had to buy an FF, 488 Spider, and supposed to have a collection of 5 Ferraris ( I didn't). I also told the dealer I want to do Tailor Made and also promised to do something outlandish. I had already bought 3-4 Ferraris including a Cal T, Speciale, Stradale and a few I had bought and sold.
