Just what I think, similarly to the previous models V12 they will produce a 812 Aperta very exclusive and limited like 599SA and an 812 GTO/TDF. in something about 900-1000 number.

    OR 812 GTO.
Sorry to start GTO name rumours/debate again but I guess it would be appropriate given the layout of the car and likelihood it is last unassisted NA V12.

Thanks Andrew for having found the right word to qualify a non-hybrid engine. I'm fed up with people confusing "Naturally aspirated" and "Unassisted"

Unless there is an XX version first, I doubt the GTO moniker.

Agree it would be logical that some form of competition/track version should come first. No F12 XX but an 812 XX would be good.

You have to love the very narrow distinction....limited edition versus limited production...for me they amount to much of the same thing.

I guess the test of Limited Edition for me has always been does it have a plate saying 1 of 799 or (whatever) even if we think more than 799 were made.
Having said that Rossocorsa1's post #1212 in the Ferrari 488 Pista thread is interesting as it gives some indication that Ferrari themselves don't see much of a distinction.

Now that Pista Aperta and 488 Pilota are "semi official" surely some news on 812 VS must start leaking soon.

Hm, I think that would make the 812 redundant. But then again make the future 812 mid-engined and it might make sense.

812 production is sold out,V12 could be detuned and it instantly gives Ferrari a convertible V12 without the expense of taking top off 812.We know Portofino is first car using new platform that will be shared and Bentley and Aston Martin have both gone 12 cylinder and 8 cylinder engine options with similar models. Also Ferrari has introduced V8 or V12 in GTC4 Lusso.
Those are all the reasons in my mind it could happen but I really hope I'm wrong and you are right as that would be way more exciting and to my mind generate a huge amount of further interest in Ferrari as a brand.Fingers crossed.

When I can I share with you more info with some hints.
But reveal a future project that even inside Ferrari is kind of secret is not correct, even if I wish to share it with you.

It is not too far away though!
