Most dealers can ultimately defer to factory issues. It will be impossible to argue with "they reduced our expected allocation and there are X people ahead of you". Am hopeful you will get your car, just saying that your dealer is probably not legally bound to do anything other than return the deposit.

Funny how that is. I get my money back if they decide to not deliver, However if I decide to cancel I would not only loose that money, but more....

Got told today my build is July, a lot early than I expected... awesome.

No special options. Do you think I’ll see it before the Aug factory shut down?? Uk based

If it goes Red 10 in July, a good guess is a December or January delivery. That is of course if the Corona virus does not screw everything up more than it already has.

Really? That long? If it’s built in July I can’t see it taking 6 months to the Uk..?

The build starts when it goes Red 10. From Red 10 there's usually a minimum of five months for the V12 cars. Then factor in August where little happens at the factory.

My GTS is going like this:

Order send to factory in January
    10 red ( I don’t know)
    20 ( I don’t know)
    30 20 feb
    40 28 feb

Normally delivery was planned for end of sept. But the dealer is also thinking that it could be earlier now. For myself I think around April.

It depends on your options. My car has good options but nothing special. It's on the ship now and I ordered it Jan 2. Not a GTS but I am sure the principle applies.

You ordered your 812 on January 2, and you have confirmation it has already been built? And shipped?

A 812 GTS is allocated today. Delivery 18 months . I will take a decision within 14 months if I will take it or not depending on value on my 812SF at that time

    Hello,

I believe the deposit is refundable and agree the allocation is usually dealer specific. The better customers will get earlier allocations

When you finally do get it, you will not believe the ride. It will be so different to your 488. It is an amazing car.

Didn’t know about the 3 car minimum. My dealer gave me the nod for a 812GTS. Admit I had a F8 Spider on order at the same time the 812GTS was announced. Recently, had to complete both builds very quickly. Factory “required” builds in place way before your slot is up! This occurred way before this Covid-19 ‘stuff came about. Would expect MY to now be very far out. Dealer will not entertain new orders now that his allotted cars are accounted for. Do I hear parallels to the Daytona Spyders from the ‘60’s/‘70’s?

Definitely echo that. The 812 is shockingly quick and agile for such a big car. It winds up instantly, even more than the 488 and certainly more than my 3RS. It responds so well and feels right with you. The suspension is brilliant, though you have to concentrate and drive with more precision at speed compared with the 488.
