I have never seen 20 cars stick together, much less over 100. Many lights just allow 10-15 cars through, people want to go different speeds, and then there can be intermingling traffic. Only exception is police escort.

If we could just have a police escort through the most troublesome few traffic lights, that would rock ! I'd say the drive went swimmingly this year as far as I could tell.

Thinking ahead to next year's route, one area I've always enjoyed driving is the lovely curvy pretty road around Joe Pool Lake(W Belt Line Rd to Mansfield Rd to Lake Ridge Pkwy), maybe we could include that on next year's route, it's best to drive downwards from the scenic old section of Cedar Hill, and down to the lake from there(lovely views driving down that slope, rather then upwards, and more efficient as well). And it's great because we could access that road easily from 1382 coming down Belt Line Rd. or 408 to Clark which would also be an excellent route, I love that section from I30 down to Camp Wisdom, and then twisty curvy Camp Wisdom to 1382 is very nice and scenic next to the Escarpment Nature Preserve and Cedar Hill State Park(a lovely area, near where we leased our first house in TX after moving from Westchester, NY in early '91). Then maybe after the lake we could jump onto 287, or 360 (several good options). Lynn Creek Marina could be a very nice scenic Toy Drop Spot as well, with great photo opps, with the lake right there ! And not very busy in December, they also have a nice large restaurant there on the water.

    Thanks again,
    R.S.
