    Carolyn and I have devised a plan for assembling the groups that will save a bunch of time and will make the staging much simpler. When you sign in you will get a map, that map has a number on it and that number corresponds as to what group you will run in. For instance lets say your map number is 16 then you are in the second group or map number 43 then you are in the 3rd group. If you want to run with a friend then you need to make sure you sign up at the same time. If you map number is 43 you are not going to go in the 4th group-even though that is where your friends are. Sorry but that is the only way we can arrange the cars and groups quickly. We will check the number of the map to make sure you are in the correct group before launch. So be aware of this when you line up

    In the event we have a problem, Jerry with Speciality Carriers has a truck available and will be able to assist with any breakdowns or tows.
    In addition I understand James Patterson has said he will open the doors for any cars that have mechanical problems. Thanks to these two great companies for their assistance.

    It is now almost 10PM and I have to load the Ferrari with all the goodies and maps. I will see all of you tomorrow at Boardwalk for one heck of a day. Please come with your thinking caps on and the lead out of your right foot and lets really make this the best run we have had to date. See all of you in about 10 hours.

    Don has me a little concerned about safety, not sure what happened last year, but it doesn't sound good. And I'll have my kid with me. I also recall the Porsche incident from 2 years ago.

    Considering bringing the daily driver.....

    I'm glad to see that 455 is driveable again, when I was on it last a few years ago it was in BAD shape. My group didn't seem to want to run quickly, so I got to slow down a lot. Still fun though!

    Thank you Don for your efforts, you've impacted a LOT of kids for Christmas!

    Some pics;

    Enver sells a black Maserati, Jano cries.

    Mike L. wins the prize for most aggressive toy carrier.

    Payback for all those pictures Carolyn has posted over the years. I'm amazed my point and shoot camera froze those wheels at 65mph.

    Don & Carolyn,
    Thanks for all your efforts in staging a Great Toy Run. Our group really enjoyed the run and the people. The toys went to a very good cause. I didn't bring a bike this year, it wasn't on your list. But I will bring a bike next year. We met our sign up number of 5 vehicles and collected no personal invites to donate to the local governmental agencies. MERRY CHRISTMAS to ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The run was a blast! Thanks to Don, Carolyn, the Boardwalk staff, and everyone else who worked so hard to make this such a classy event! You all made it look easy, although we know it wasn't. I'm sure all those toys will create a bunch of smiles on Christmas morning. :)

    My thanks to the fine folks at Boardwalk Ferrari/Maserati, it would not have been possible to stage that many cars without their facility. My special thanks to Jordan Bars for supplying everything we needed to make this a first class event. Also my sincerest thanks to Shad Warren for opening up the dealership and allowing us to invade. In addition my thanks to Frank Inlay our launch control specialist! However, my heartfelt thanks to all of you who braved the cold wind and wintry looking day to drive a few miles and certainly make some smiles appear on children's faces that you do not even know. A big thumbs up to all of you noted above.

    For the people that stayed around at the end you know that we had 4 special awards that were given out. When Carolyn and I had originally talked to Hillary I wanted a way to get the kids to interact with our donation. So we decided to have them draw pictures of the following categories; "the car most likely to get a speeding ticket", "the car with the most bugs on it from the toy run", "the car in which I would most like to ride" and "the coolest car". The kids drew their pictures and then they voted on the 4 best. Hillary's staff then judged the cars and we awarded the four prizes. I am sorry that I do not know the names of all of the winners but here is the list and the cars;
    The coolest car ---the Green Lamborghini
    The car with the most bugs from the toy run ---The 74 VW Bus
    The car In which I would most like to ride---the black Audi R8
    The car most likely to get a speeding ticket---the black Lamborghini VTTT
    Since Mark took off early he was not there to receive his award and I have posted a picture of it below.

    Again I want to thank all of you for using your heads and driving a good run. We had no tickets, no wrecks and no issues and that is the way it should be. I think everyone had a good time and we did raise a huge donation for the kids-which is what this is all about.
    Thanks to again to all of you--you are the guys and gals that makes this worth doing year after year. Merry Christmas to all of you!

    914 from what the owner told me, I was behind him for a bit after the start. It was amazing on how well that bus did on through the twisties.

    I want to thank Don & Carolyn for their strategic planning & also the good folks at Boardwalk for setting us up this morning with coffee & breakfast. I took a bunch of photos but had aexhausting day, I will be posted them tomorrow. It was a blast for a worthy cause but I gotta get some rest.

    +1000 on Don's and Carolyn's hard work and the contributions of the entire group. A great outcome, road course, and group of people. Sorry I couldn't get Carolyn in a picture but she proved elusive. Biggest surprise of the day - none of Mike's gifts departed the bike during the rough and fast spells.
