I looked to see if you were in my shot of the first lap spin but didn't see you so I snuck another one in Your weekend summary sounds like you had a great time. Lets hope next year is just as fun! One improvement I'm hoping they make is adding a nice PA to all the main viewing areas around the track so its easier to keep up with the action. The commentary you could hear near the pits needs to be heard around the track and would make it much more enjoyable for the spectators. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was hanging on the fence and just out of the picture on the left. The car was on the move back on the track in your shot. My buddy had a scanner with headsets so we could listen to the live feed from the commentators. But you are right.....it would be better if there was PA around the track to keep us updated. In addition we would go into the RV where we could watch the track and Speed Channel's live broadcast. Unfortunately they didn't show the whole race live. Maybe next year they will since they already own Speed and will own the series too. Then I will need to figure out how to mount a big LED flatscreen and speakers to the side of the RV!
Here's a couple more video frame grabs as he was stalled against the Armco. It was very cool to see the start from our position and watch as they went three wide at turns 3 and 4 You mention having a flat screen and it reminded me of the guys that had a small tent pitched a row over from where I was parked and friday night they fired up a tiny generator that powered a small projector that showed a movie against the side of their tent. Probably about a 40" pictures and high quality. I never would've thought of something like that happening back when I went to my first 12 Hours of Sebring in 1980 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

To answer John's question, which I originally thought was about the VIN, it it has to do with the sponsorship on the car's rear wing. It says Polesa Group - it is the company of the man who owns the car. The company produces steel poles used in electricity distribution etc. BHW
I wonder how many years it will take to get one of these things at Sebring? I think it looks as good as the LMP Audi's, wich is not hard to do That scoop reminds me of the teapot Ligiers from 1976 and the fins of a big fish I saw off the coast of Florida........... I had such a fun time this year and can't wait to see what happens next year. It should be exciting, at least for a photographer I usually passed on Sebring every year mostly because there were so many other events to go to that time of the year but you guys got me fired up last year to go and after that I was hooked. Here's a couple more pics and I've made a gallery of larger pics here http://www.bill-moore.com/racing/Sebring/2013%20Race/index.html and a short video from the race.
