Hey guys, any idea whether it's possible to change the speedometer reading from MPH to KPH without using a dealer. Couldn't find anything in the users manual. 2008 612.

    Cheers,
    John

It is possible, but not straightforward. I couldn't figure it out the entire time I was in Europe!

I believe the trick is to use the options button, and use the outside knob to scroll through all the options-- it may be "Vehicle Options" or "Display Options" or something like that. I think it's "Display Options."

I can tell you that the dealer here would have no idea how to do it-- because I asked them some time back!

John- According to the owner's manual, you can change from miles to kms on the trip odometer using the Menu function, but no mention of the speedometer. Push Mode button briefly to select the Menu, Up or Down to get to Language and Units of Measurement, hit Enter, and then Up or Down to parameter you want (miles vs kms) and hit Enter. Do not think that will affect the speedometer, but you can try it and see.

The OTO controls a lot of that stuff through the Bose Media Center. I think what you can change is the small digital speed readout on the TFT screen.

Trabots- Not even close. No selections for language or units of measurement at all. Cannot even change from 12h to 24h on the clock. The clock in there is one or the other. Mine is a 12h. There are km markings on the US/UK speedometer.

The 612, at least my US OTO, has no km markings on the speedometer. I thought that was some sort of requirement, but apparently not.
