I have searched for some info on issues with 612's to get an idea if anyone has experienced issues with them. Could you please share your experiences? I am going to buy one as a daily driver and it seems that they are very solid.

Along with any owner comments I suggest you contact or stop by your local dealers service department and get some additional feedback.

Mine has been perfect so far. There was a recall on the transmission for the earlier cars, so I'd make sure that's done. I have had no problems with the F1 Superfast.

Mine did have a small paint bubble on the door, which was caused by corrosion of the underlying aluminum. Ferrari fixed it under warranty, but you might want to take any bubbles in the paint seriously. I imagine any used car that was going to develop this problem would already have done so by now, though.

Mine's run like a champ - it did have a fuel sender issue which required a replacement, and caused a CEL/showing empty when full until about 9/10ths full when it worked. I keep my car outside and its been fine so far, whereas some previous F-cars have not enjoyed that at all. My 360 and 430 both protest(ed) about starting if kept outside. Most of my cars are in a garage which is a short walk from my house, but I keep my 612 and p-car at the house. I LOVE my 612, I've been surprised but having owned a series of 360s, currently own a 430 Scud, and also having owned a 599 its my favorite road car of all of them. Fast, Awesome noise, with the bose (on '08s) it has a real nav and audio system that works, AND I can bring the kids along.

I've already got 3K on mine since the summer, and the snow tires have just been delivered at the dealership for its winter use. It will go hidey in the garage overnight shortly, but in the spring/summer/fall I just leave it in the driveway.

Will do when more I have the final details - they are 20s though for the challenge wheels! They'll be fitted in the next couple of weeks.

    Great feedback...
Have there been any chronic issues?

I am owned many F-cars and know that they are not perfect and require service. However, I have seen zero in regards to service or issues with these cars from F-Chatters..Even the 550's and 575's have certain items to look for, are there really none with the 612's?

Having a similar problem with my '08, also getting the engine control system failure message.

Essentially requires a replacement of the sender unit in the fuel tank. In my case it had to be ordered from Italy so I had to live with it for a few weeks before the replacement arrived. Took about a day to fit, but was of course a warranty job.

I had my 2007 Scaglietti for about a year and it was bullit proof. Great car. Loved it. Wonderful on the highway and awesome even on the track. It will make you very happy driving daily. I Traded mine for a 599 GTB. Also awesome!

Got my 612 at about 5900km. Now at about 35000km. Use it as my daily car.
Here's a list of things that have happened since
    Have had transmission recall done.
First problem I had was with F1 transmission, started to jump into neutral gear while at highway speeds.
Boot lid hydraulic gave way, was unable to hold lid in open position.
Then there was an overheating problem.
Then side mirror adjustment knob broke.
Then rear left wheel bearing noise.
Engine check light on...eventually found to be a valve jammed in open position.
Interior squeaking noise...was one of the rear panels a little loose.
    Cam belts changed.
climate control heater didn't work properly.

Happy to say got all this sorted after 2 years of ownership and quite a lot of trips to the service dept.

I thought the 612 used timing chains, not belts.

Have there been any major clutch issues?
Have there been more problems with the 05 vs later as the 1st model sometimes has more issues they tend to work out in later models?
    Any recalls?

Have had mine for 2 yrs now, its been problem free! Have done the transmission recall, although no issues with the car at all. No complaints, no noises, squeeks, leaks, or any problem. The car is a dream to own, thrill to drive, and one of the best things I have ever driven. So good I ordered a new one.

Mine is now having the fuel sender replaced for the same problem. The dealer said they had a 599 in recently with exactly the same symptoms. Covered under warranty, at least.

2006 HGTC pkg. warranty exp in Dec of 09. I trade cars very often and got the itch a few months ago. Tried a 430 then the scud then the 599, none compared as I drive mine everyday the weather permits and it gets the right kind of attn with a nice sounding exhaust
The car can get mean and turn into a gentle Ferrari within one stop light.

Today I decided on a Range Rover Sport trading in my older RR and kept the 612 for nice winter days. In short the 612 is the best car I have ever owned and will not be replaced.

FYI - make sure the gas cap is tight after fueling and drive it often as you can

I was just looking at this car via the auction on ebay. Their vehicle report system shows accident damage reported in July of 2005 but the auction does not mention provide any details.. What happened, and had bad was the damage?

I think the owner is on F chat... I have the same interior color combination but a lil bit better exterior and the HGTC pkg. along with a alpjne head / laser installed. If it has accident damage ask the dealer. I think its consigned and find out about the wheels being after market. Or buy mine
