Im starting a new thread cause Im sure this will be 5pages of discussions haha. Pete Wall was 1st to post about it here http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=135529420&postcount=2261 I was able to find high res pics from another forum. http://users.tpg.com.au/adslbxfx/6121.jpg http://users.tpg.com.au/adslbxfx/6122.jpg OUCH!!! (maybe not today, but cant edit title...)
Guy is not an FCA member, but has had various exotics over time I understand. Ray Hunter - Ferrari Sales at Barbagallos says the guy owns the second biggest plot of land in Dalkeith (river suburb of Perth - roughly equivalent to Toorak etc etc). I'm sure it will be a nice bill for new parts...
Just noticed that the accident put a big dent in the side of the car too...no...wait...it's meant to be there...
There is a 612 for sale at Barbagallo, might be easier just to buy that and get it in a better colour (silver) than red. my brother has a feeling he knows the owner, does his surname happen to start with a "B"?
I don't think so Dingo. My understanding is that the red 612 was owned by a guy with a Eastern European type name. Unless another red one has been delivered here recently...which I would not expect. Agree that red is not the best colour for them too!
Hi everyone, this is y first post here, i have been hanging round for a while and now i am making my first post. Damn that guy would be pissed off!!!, Brand new 612 smashed up, gotta feel sorry for him!
Just came back from Bargagallo's and apparently it happened yesterday, Ray said he got a call from the guy when it happened. Apparently the lady in the car in front was looking at his car in the Rear View and didnt notice that traffic had stopped, and therefore hit the car in front of her, and of course the 612 followed. And for the record i beleive there are 4 612's in Perth and I beleive 2 of them are red.
I think there is two of them in Perth, here is another one with different plates which I have also seen outside of Barbagallo.... http://www.ozcarsightings.com/updates/02-01-06/Ferrari-612-Scaglietti-(30).jpg and here is the crashed car in better times: Image Unavailable, Please Login
I beg to differ Andrew, the 612 looks particularly stunning and smaller in red than any of the other colours I've seen it in. They are an incredibly beautiful car in the flesh , so much better than the 456.
I actually I like the look. Except from behind like the pic above. The blue does look good. Jean Todt's is beautiful, (except maybe the wheels)
Bugger...poor fella, must be spewin..wonder what happened? looks like the HRV can out brake the 612 Hope insurance covers it...
I'm liking it far more than I was to begin with, but I do think the tail lights are out of proportion (too small for the rest of the back end, or maybe the back end is just too big)
Red doesnt go well on a 612. A dark blue or black is better get silver if you want to become invisible.
I like it alot more now then i did before, the first time i saw it i was like "No!", but now its like ohh yeah one of them would be good, , and after seeing it on Top Gear i wanted it even more
The interior is gorgeous IMO. I still can't get excited about the exterior looks. Seen a few in the flesh and, particularly with the 19" wheels, I can't understand why/how they got it so wrong.
