Tony. It really is not that scary. I have only had mine up to 170 +.
No time to go out to the country yet. That 170 was in the city.
I have to take her somewhere with little traffic. That takes
some time. The top speed is nice. The acceleration is really
what moves you. It will make your "fast" "car" seem like a regular
station wagon or saloon. It feels like your brain is being mashed
into the back of the skull. Then you just hang on for life. You
try to keep the eyeballs focused. Oh it feels so goood. and don't
forget the sound as the 11,000 rpm's scream through the full race
titanium set-up. That noise ain't too bad either. It is fun to do
this with other exotic supercars also !!!!

Steve. We will enjoy our bikes. Thanks.

Chaa. You are correct ! Yes ~ The force is with us. It is like when
Chewbaka in the Milenium Falcon makes the jump to light speed. Dude
I just hope it does not cause brain damage. I have a big smile on my
face while I am typing this. Remember just 4,000 + and I can take
    her in for a boob-job. Boob-job being a turbo set-up. I am really
    thinking about it.

As for 170 mph being or not being scary (for a sober, experienced rider), if all factors are correct (bike in good shape & made for speed, proper riding gear, suitable road, weather isn't impossible, traffic isn't insane), 170 or more mph is not scary. I don't have a Busa, but I do have two ZX12R Kawasaki, and what I've found is that it is the degree of control and not the speed that makes a ride scary or not. A bike with an unbalanced tire/wheel can be scary to ride at relatively low speeds (100 mph will suffice), and the same goes for a bike which needs it's suspension tuned to your particular weight and style. If all's right (as stated above), the riding experience is simply invigorating. Until you've experienced it, you'll never quite understand it.

Mitch, I don't know if you know about AMAProstar's Street Bike Shootout class, but here are the top ten times. These bikes are suppose to be street legal, and they are impossibly quick. This next paragraph is from Dragbike.com (McBride is Top Fuel, Stotz is Streetbike):
A two-day thunderstorm hit as Larry “Spiderman” McBride set poised to back up his 5.87 @ 244 run, so did Honda’s Kent Stotz after running 7.42 @ 194. Jamie McNaughton had reset the Hot Rod Cruiser record at 141.28 and Chuck Cunningham reset the Mickey Thompson Streetbike Shootout mile-per-hour record at 196.13.
The remainder of the event will be completed at the PR Factory Store St. Louis Nationals in Madison, Illinois. The two-day PR Factory Store St. Louis Nationals event, scheduled for June 5-6, 2004 will have a couple of important changes to prepare for the completion of the Lucas Oil Spring Nationals.
One important note, Top Gas, Super Comp, Super Gas, Pro and Street ET racers, who were in the remaining eliminations, will be required to complete their rounds on Friday prior to the PR Factory Store St. Louis Nationals in order to catch up to the other classes that were in the final round. All Finals are scheduled for Saturday at 4:30pm allowing time for television crews to film the final round. Prostar has scheduled a one pass per bike test pass at Noon on Friday for bikes remaining in Virginia completion.
Here's what I got from the AMAProStar site for class record times:
